I fell down the stairs about 3 months ago after slipping on silky saucy nighty. Managed to dislocate my shoulder.
While sitting at the bottom trying not to cry, my husband came up and said " I told you that would happen if you leave washing on the stairs". Have since ditched nighty for sensible PJ's.

I have been training for my first 10k (stubbington green 12/1) and I went for a fab run on Sunday, 8K. Didn't fall or twist - just had a lovely time in the mud and drizzle.
But later that evening I developed a bad pain in my right ankle/foot. It is sore just under the outside knobbly bit that sticks out. Now I am limping and have it all strapped up with tubbygrip.
But nothing seems to help it.
I have tried rest, I have tried massage, I have tried ralgex.

I need to be training!!! should I give up the idea of running in Jan?
What can i do? has anyone else had this problem? why would it develop 8 hours after my run?

no no chimp you get me all wrong! being a sturdy lass myself I was happy to see a real person on the front cover. there are lots of really thin people in the media (sports and fashion) and that look is not always attainable for everyone.
Not that she is big by anymeans, she just not a stick! and thats good.

I don't care if she is air brushed or whatever - she looks like some one I would like to go running with!

Oh yes and I like Runners World. I look forward to it coming every month. My husband brings me coffee in bed and I get a whole hour to read it.

sorry rambling.

I think the watch is great - my toddler put mine in a hot wash and it still works perfectly. sorry slightly at a tangent.

I think the lady on the cover is fab - hurrah for bigger ladies!

I have doing the same thing! My running partner recently moved away so I am left plodding along in the gym. I have to wait until the weekend to sniff the fresh air.

I just can't bring myself to go to my running sisters club - for fear I might be so slow they will not allow me to join.
Silly really - it the only way I ma goin to get faster.
Let us know how you get on!
