'GOOD OFF-ROAD ALL ROUNDER'
Strengths:
Comfy fit out of the box. Excellent grip. Drain well. Look and feel like they'll last. Equally at home on mud, wet grass, hard and soft trails. Good low to ground feel.
Weaknesses:
They're a touch heavier than I'd normally choose.
Overall:
I've been impressed how these fair over mixed peak district terrain. I always find trail shoes too high and heavy but like a bit more comfort on hard surfaces than you get with a minimal fell shoe. These are about the right compromise.

'LIGHT, GRIP, FEEL GREAT BUT DON'T LAST LONG'
Strengths:
Light, close to the ground feeling but reasonably well cushioned. Drained well.

[Update 10/10/06] Light, close to the ground feeling but reasonably well cushioned. Good grip on wet grass. Drained well. Look good in the pub.

Weaknesses:
After less than 200 miles there are small holes in both and the soles are disintegrating - the orange bits are dropping off.

[Update 10/10/06] After less than 200 miles there are small holes in both and the soles are disintegrating - the orange bits are just dropping off. This is just on Peak District hills so definitely not hard enough for fells.

Overall:
One of the best for trail, fell and especially mud but should last longer at this price. Otherwise better buying Walsh, Swoop, Innov, Running Bear for £60rrp.

[Update 10/10/06] Fast for trail and grass but should last longer at this price. Better buying Adidas Swoop2, Innov8, Running Bear, Walsh for £15-20 less.
