'FANTASTICALLY COMFORTABLE STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX'
Strengths: Very light Upper fits well without being too tight Cushioning great
Weaknesses: I don't think the wave cushioning will last long but then I'm a very fat runner!!
Overall: Personally I think this is a big improvement on the WR11's and is certainly more comfortable than them. Have doubts about the longevity of the cushioning but then I'm considerably heavier than Mizuno's likely target runners I suspect. If you're a fan of Wave Riders, definitely try these.
Strengths: Watch easy to set up and adjust without needing instructions all the time. Screen easy to read and being able to customise is fantastic, particularly if you're doing something other than running. Watch sleek enough to wear every day and my battery has lasted 18+ months so far. Footpod easy to calibrate and despite doing it once it seems pretty accurate on measured routes like races. You don't notice the footpod after the first couple of times and it hasn't caused any problems. Battery in the footpod is user changeable but one AAA lasts a fair while. Doesn't take ages to acquire a GPS signal before you start running.
Weaknesses: Uploading to their software is a nightmare so I just use Fetch instead. It's possible to hit some of the buttons by bending your wrist which can cause a few problems, like ending the recording early. It has frozen on my twice (although once was in torrential rain) which is irritating but you don't lose any of the saved information.
Overall: I find being able to see speed and distance a great motivator but I'm at the plodding end of the scale so don't think I need massive accuracy. Neither do I train so much that not being able to upload data is not a huge problem!
