'ONE TO CONSIDER, IF YOU DON'T NEED AN SDM'
Strengths:
Well thought out display, and a good range of functions e.g. target heart rate zones, 50 lap memory, customizeable "My View" display. Data mode enables the stats for several runs to be saved to memory for later review. Interval mode allows users to define an interval session with exercise and recovery times that count down and sound an audible warning as each segment ends. Batteries in both the transmitter and the watch are easy to change.
Weaknesses:
Lack of "maximum" heart rate readout. Many competitive runners would find it useful to know their true MHR, but the C8 only provides current and average values over a lap/session.

No download facility, although, to be fair you probably wouldn't expect it in a watch/HRM at this price point.

Fragile tabs on the transmitter chest strap - on my C8, one of these snapped off after about 9 months of use. It's not the most robust design, but happily i've managed to bodge a repair with some thin cord!
Overall:
A useful sports watch/HRM with an eyecatching design that's suitable for everyday wear. Good value for money, but those who need a PC interface or SDM functionality should look elsewhere.
