'comfortable, affordable and rather good looking, too!'
Strengths:
It's a good shoe, solid, snug and dry. Even when running through puddles I didn't seem to get wet feet!
Weaknesses:
I still have to buy girly shoes as I've got small feet! PLEASE make some small-bloke shoes!
Overall:
Great, comfortable and I'd be happy to run a few miles in these!

Marathon Running for Mortals: An Ordinary Mortal's Guide to the Joy of Running or Walking a Marathon or Half-marathon by John Bingham and Jenny Hadfield

'GOOD FOR COMPLETE NOVICES'
Strengths:
The authors chat to you and predict your questions, ideas are dealt with in limited detail to help prevent loss o interest and doesn't knock you out with jargon
Weaknesses:
Not much for intermediate or advanced runners
Overall:
A good present for someone training for his/her first marathon or half.

'VERY USEFUL'
Strengths:
Provides fairly accurate pace, distance, heart rate tracking and basic map of route run
Weaknesses:
Bit bulky on the arm, gps isn't perfect. Map and software very basic also.
Overall:
It's good, but don't expect miracles; however as a training tool it is good. Don't expect it to run for you! BTW I got mine for £155, 12/2005!
