Nike Lunarglide+ 4
Posted: 05/12/12
'Simply the best'
Strengths:
These shoes are very light and after 2 pairs and over 500 miles they have provide the support i need. The flywire provides a tight and even fit throughout, which is much improved over the instep grip of the 3s. I use to change my shoes every other run to make sure that the heal did not create problems, the 4s heal is soft and supportive and i am happy to do every run in these.
Weaknesses:
Still stone magnets, after every run I find a few small stones stuck there in the sole. I'm on my second pair, after 200miles the first pair developed a hole split on the heal where the sole colour-way meet to provide the dynamic support. Nike were happy to refund and i bought ... yes ... another pair!
Overall:
Great improvement on lunarglide 3s. Simply the best running shoes i've ever had.

Nike Lunarglide+ 3

'The best yet - huge improvement over previous models'
Strengths:
Lightest lunarglide yet. The midfoot grip takes a few runs to get used to but it stops any sliding, so thats goodbye to blisters. The heel cup looks smaller and feels like the lunareclipse providing stability without the added weight. I ran exclusively in these shoes for a couple of weeks covering about 100 road miles without any problems so i'd say these shoes are good enough for everyday use. Great improvement in the sole no longer the great stone magnet.
Weaknesses:
There is a cut in the sole that still picks up gravel.
Overall:
A huge improvement over the previous model lighter than the lunareclipse and feels like it provides the same level of support. If you liked the lunarglide 1&2 this is your next shoe.

'My other Shoe's a nike.'
Strengths:
Light, simple and fun to run in. A nice alternative to your other shoes. Combine theses shoes with your mainstay trainer and your feet will appreciate the difference.
Weaknesses:
These shoes are a stone magnet. The sole grid and soft material mean that stones tend to be picked up and carried. Always check the sole for stones before a run. Try to use them on track and tarred roads only. The female version can cause blisters because of the front wide fitting. To avoid blisters make sure they fit tight.
Overall:
A quality addition to your running wardrobe. Buy them, use them sparingly, your feet will be grateful for the rest, and you will remind yourself why you love running.

Nike + SportBand

'SPORTSBAND 2'
Strengths:
This version works - sportsband 1 died of perspiration damage. (get in touch with Nike for a free replacement.) Software easy to set up.
Weaknesses:
No light on the display for night running. Price on Euros is high, so don't buy abroad!
Overall:
Great product. Now in Pink for the ladies and yellow for the men. A great alternative to the nano and receiver when running with company.

Nike +

'NIKE+ ONLINE CHALLENGES'
Strengths:
Fantastic value for money. Although you should buy the running strap and that takes the price to nearer £40. Combining Nike+ and the Nike+ online challenges and you have just found the Killer application for runners.
Weaknesses:
Accuracy: This can be improved by using Nike+ shoes. Footpod works without Nike + shoes you just need to calibrated it correctly.
Receiver: Over time Sweat can stop the ipod receiver working. Keep the receipt Apple will hapily change it. Buying a nike+ armband will help to keep the moisture out.
Ipod software: has a few bugs that can provide a little irritation. Nothing an ipod reset won't fix.
Overall:
Addiction is easy with this kit. Whether you want to go faster, longer or just challenge friends to get healthier. Integrating Nike + coaching with online challenges is a great way to stay focused and motivated on areas for improvement.
