'FANTASTIC TRAINER, VERY COMFY FIT AND PLUSH RIDE.'
Strengths: It has everything I could ask for in a trainer. Comfiest trainer I've tried to date and they just seem to keep going! Sale Price (Got mine for £85 I think).
Weaknesses: Price (if you were unfortunate enough to pay the full RRP). Slightly lacking in grip in wet conditions.
Overall: I got the bright Orange model (rather than the reddish one shown). I tried on a few shoes and just loved the feel of these... also like the Asics model below (can't remember if it's 2120's or 2100's for overpronation) but these just felt that little bit nicer so I treated myself despite the extra cost.
Whilst I said they're slightly lacking in grip in wet conditions, it's not really been a problem for me, but on speed sessions you can feel them 'squeak' a little as though they're struggling for grip in the wet. Can't say I've slipped over though and i'd still happily buy another pair! In saying that though i'm now looking into getting a pair of Gel Kayano XII's as a replacement; here's hoping they're as much of a success as the XII's!
'PERFECT FOR ALL MY RUNNING NEEDS, JUST WISH IT HAD MAX HR'
Strengths: Ample spec for beginner to competitive runner. Easy to use with Good instructions. Stylish an easy to read whilst running. etc...(i'm sure you've already read the spec!)
Weaknesses: No Max HR Feature.
Overall: Does everything I could ask for as a HRM, I couldn't see the need for any higher spec so bought this and it still exceeds my needs! The 'S' shape/layout strap design makes it much easier (in my opinion) to glance at your readings without interrupting your stride. I bought mine online from America but got stung on import tax, still saved a few quid though!
If this watch matches your needs, buy it, you won't be disappointed. Part of me wishes I'd gone for a SDM, but as a HRM it more than suffices.
