'TRIED OTHERS AND STILL COME BACK TO THIS'
Strengths:
Nice taste, easy to drink - works well
Weaknesses:
performance is not as long lasting as some
Overall:
I have used most drinks, but still come back to this - its a good price, and does seem to suit my 'average' running style - keeps me going, and performs as well as others twice the price

Ultramarathon Man by Dean Karnazes

'READ IT AND YOU WILL NEVER STOP RUNNING'
Strengths:
This book shows how an ordinary man (yes ordinary) can push the body to the absolute limits of endurance - although he was a 'high school runner', he put it behind him to live a normal life - fed up with a 9-5 job, mortgage and drinking every weekend, he remembered what running could offer him.
Weaknesses:
It is american, and as such, sometimes comes across as too sentimental.
Overall:
Excellent - i read it and wanted to run, couldnt put the book down, and has inspired a new future in my (long distance) running career. It really does illustrate how you can use running to change your life, as silly as that may sound. He explains his motivation, his discipine, and how he can still maintain a regular job, family and life, even with thease extraordinary feats of endurance. There is also a massive section at the back of the book which gives you loads of practical hints and tips to help your running. You will view your running in a new light, and i guarentee you will be running ultras next year!
