Lucozade Energy Gel

'THEY DO THE JOB.'
Strengths:
Do give you a needed boost. Good taste, and packet not as big as others so easy to store.
Weaknesses:
A little too thick, not easy to swallow.
Overall:
Other gels I have tried are easier to use (thinner texture), but you have to use more of them and more often.

Asics Gel 1120

'GREAT VALUE SHOE'
Strengths:
Feels as good as it looks. Super cushioning and enough stability with a good fit....
Weaknesses:
None yet....
Overall:
Great value. I paid £48 + p&p from joejogger.co.uk . After blister trouble with the new nike structure triax 10, I got the 1120, my first asics shoes, and are really pleased. Good comfort, no blisters and a stylish trainer too.
What more could I ask for....
I have now been converted away from nike. If all asics are this good, I shall be using them for some time to come...
Thank-you asics...!

Nike Air Structure Triax 10

'WOW.....!'
Strengths:
A better looking more stylish shoe than they Triax 9, and the nike+ feature is great....
Weaknesses:
If anything to much cushioning, for me, and the new sockliner puts an end to using the 'Structure Triax', straight from the box....

[Update 19/04/07] Semi Rigid Sock Liner.

Overall:
After the superb 'Structure Triax 9', I was really looking forward to trying the 'Triax 10+'. The running shop gave me a size 9.5 which caused a large blister on the ball of my foot, so I changed them for a size 9. Although comfortable while running, the semi-rigid sockliner still gave me a blister. After a few short runs and a blister each time, I have put the shoes on ebay and ordered a pair of Asics 1120's.
Everyone else speaks well of the 'Structure Triax 10', but I can only speak as I find.... We are all made differently.

[Update 19/04/07] After failing to get what I wanted for these shoes on ebay, I tried them again. Alternating with the very comfortable Asics 1120, I was still getting a large blister.
So, I replaced the sock-liner with the old ones from the S.T.9 'GREAT'- What a shoe, comfort like I have never Known. Only problem is, the old soft liners are a little worn out.
If I can get more of the same, I have the ultimate long distance running shoe....

New Balance RX Terrain

'UNBEATABLE VALUE......'
Strengths:
Great grip and comfort.
Weaknesses:
Don't look very strong. Will have to see how long they last.
Overall:
New Balance standard or wide fitting, so you can get the best fit for your foot shape. No more horrid uncomfortable spikes for the cross country season. Anyone who enjoys off-road running, try these, I think you will be quite happy to go anywhere in this one.

'WORTH EVERY PENNY....'
Strengths:
Comfortable, light, sure footed off roader, with awesome grip and a good fit....
Weaknesses:
None that I can find....
Overall:
This is the perfect shoe if you like multi-terrain. It loves mud, grass, trails....
I also use these for riding my mountain bike, and for cross country. If you hate uncomfortable spikes (like me) these are the perfect choice....

'BEST YET !'
Strengths:
No need to brake in this shoe.
Comfort, strength and stability straight from the box. Best I have tried. Looks good too.
Weaknesses:
None yet.
Overall:
I was recommended this shoe by my local running shop, after having knee problems. It has done the trick for me. Running feels great, smoother and more comfortable.
