Weaknesses: shoes hard, unforgiving and less supportive than 2160s
Overall: I went for New Balance as they do a 12 ½ UK unlike all the other manufacturers that jump from 12 to 13. Have run in the Asics 2000 series for years but the 12 is a little snug and the 13 big – hence my purchase. Despite having a gait analysis done, on the road, I found the shoes hard, unforgiving and less supportive than 2160s - A couple of runs in them resulted in a great deal of lower leg pain and a phone call to the wife to pick me up. Sadly trainers now in the shoe rack to be replaced with a new pair of 2160’s
Strengths: I like them although they were a replacement for a trabucco order which were unavailable. I think the trabucco's i've had before have a better feel but not having your feet soaked everytime the going gets a bit wet underfoot is a real bonus. They also seem incredibly durable
Weaknesses: The sole is very hard so stay of the tarmac in them, particualarly when its cold and icy
Overall: Good - I will buy another pair but hopefully that will be a while yet
Overall: Good Shoe but they wear very quickly - backing material on the toes only lasted between 150 & 200 miles. This wear not apparant on earlier versions until about 500 miles. Asics contacted but didn't seem concerned - so be aware.
Strengths: My old ones are just about comeing to the end of their life and i can't really fault them. They are still performing with a PB 10k just a few days ago. I'm 14 stone & run mainly on roads so they take a bit of punishment but still seem ok for 400-500 miles
Weaknesses: I really havn't found any.
Overall: I recently tried on the Kayano 14's but had doubts over the fit and felt I needed an extra 1/2 size which was not available so I decided to stick with a new pair of 13's - best shoes yet and you can get them well cheap now at under £65
Strengths: They seem to be as good as the 2110's and lighter to go with it
Weaknesses: I found they rubbed a bit to start with at the base of my toes (top). But thicker socks and wearing them in has sorted this out
Overall: I've done the 2100's 2110's and now 2120's. I thought the 2110 would be hard to beat as they are brilliant but i'm pretty impressed now I'v put a 100 or so miles on them. I'm not sure they are going to last as long as the 2110 though but only time will tell
