Strengths: Records more information than you can ever need. Displays everything that you need to know on the run with the ability to customnise the display to suit your needs. Download everything when you get back and spend happy hours analysing how well/badly your run went. Loads of memory, just brilliant.
Weaknesses: None really, it does what it's supposed to do. The Training Centre software that it is supplied with is OK but a free download called SportTracks is much better.
Overall: Can't praise it enough, if you are a gadget junkie like me you really need one of these
Strengths: Responsive and have a fast feel to them. Fairly thin upper makes them cool to wear on hot days. Enough support for the mild overpronator to wear up to half marathon distance without any discomfort.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Overall: A great shoe for faster training and for racing.
Strengths: Suit my running style perfectly. Enough stability, plenty of cushioning but responsive when I want to push on.
Weaknesses: Haven't found one yet.
Overall: I love these shoes. As a moderate overpronator I've owned Mizuno Mavericks, NB 854's and Asics 1090's. I've also tried every other shoe on in the shops. I thought that I had found my perfect shoe in the 1090, these are better. A good price as well.
Strengths: An easy read full of information on US ultra racing. Well written, I found it difficult to put down. Felt strange reading a book about a man with 4% bodyfat when sat by the pool in Orlando.
Weaknesses: Would have appreciated more detail on his training regime.
Overall: Worth reading if only to find out his answer to the question, "How far can you run?"
