'FAST AND LIGHT, BUT WITH ENOUGH CUSHIONING FOR LONGER RACES.'
Strengths: I've found it suitable for distances well beyond Adidas' stipulated 10k, even for heavier runners. I'm 70kg and have set PBs in it at half and full marathon. Obviously, the cushioning is not plush and my legs noticed the lack in the latter kms of the marathon, but I was more than happy to sell a bit of comfort to buy a bit of speed.
Weaknesses: If it has a weakness, it'd be stability. I've never been quite able to shake off a slight wobbly feel to it (I mildly overpronate on my right foot), but that might be exaggerated by the contrast with my habitual, fuller shoes.
Overall: Given that you can pick them up for around £30, the Response Competition has to offer some of the best value for money around. Probably put to best use for racing distances between 10k and half marathons.
