Sennheiser/adidas CX 680

'A great sounding in the ear headphone that does the job for runners'
Strengths:
A Snug fit, these headphones come with 3 different sized in the ear adapters and 3 around the ear fins so you can be sure to find the right fit for you.
A good sound, these headphones deliver across various music types and give a well rounded sound that isn’t drowned out by too much bass, whilst refraining from sounding too tinny.
Tough cookies, essentially they are Sweat proof – you can even wash them under the tap
They also have a 2 year manufactures warrantee, which swayed my decision to part with £39.95. (I got mine from Richer Sounds as you get their 1 year guarantee as well)
Weaknesses:
They are in the ear headphones and have noise cancelling qualities, The CX60's are particularly good at blocking ambient sound, great if you want to get lost in the music, not so great if you run around main roads.
The cable comes in two parts, the first is designed to fit into your music device at upper arm level, if you do carry your mp3 there its happy days for you, however if you put your mp3 into a bum pocket of your running bottoms you will have to plug it into an extension. The extension has an inline volume control that when plummed in, suspendeds somewhere around your mid back
Overall:
When it comes to buying a set of headphones for running, these Sennheiser / Adidas CX680’s tick all my boxes. They sound great, you forget you are wearing them and they are tough enough to handle the abuse I give them in all weathers and conditions.
