Asics Gel Cumulus 13
Posted: 12/06/12
'Great shoe - perfect for short runs right up to marathons.'
Strengths:
Never have any problems from cumulus after having versions 11, 12 and 13. They are durable - my 12s did around 800 mies before being retired and my current pair of 13s are on 400 and in their prime.
Weaknesses:
Take about 100 miles to break in.
Overall:
Good value if you wait for a bargain - got mine in the Xmas JJB sale. I'm on the lookout now for a replacement pair to put aside for autumn.

Asics Gel-Nimbus 12

'AN EXPENSIVE SHOE, VERY CUSHIONED, BUT LEAVE ME IN AGONY AFTER 30 MINUTES.'
Strengths:
Very comfortable and cushioned, for the 1st half mile.
Weaknesses:
Almost identical to Will Milner 2 - these feel as if there is something under the toes in my right shoe - I get really sore after around 20 minutes and leave me in agony soon after. I think its actually my toes twisting under each other!

It may be related to the structure of the shoe, or it could be too much space in the front section.
Overall:
I have done only 60 (expensive) miles in them!
