I have recently been prescribed orthotics and I find the fit around the heel and the higher heel collar to be the most comfortable and secure of the shoes I have tried. I also require quite a lot of room in the toe box and these shoes deliver on that whilst still being a good, comfortable (not sloppy) fit around the rest of the foot. I'm finding them very responsive and the cushioning is good without losing feel. | | Weaknesses: They are expensive, but you can get some good deals if you shop around. | | Overall: To clarify, this review is for the ladies version of this shoe.
From what I understand these are a very different shoe to the 13, however for me they feel pretty near perfect! I have quite large feet for a lady, and with the addition of orthotics I found a lot of shops were recommending men's shoes to me. Unfortunately I often found the fit to be far too sloppy in the mid foot and heel which would create a very unstable and heavy feel. I've found the fit of the Mizunos to be great. Enough depth for the orthotic, whilst still giving a secure fit around the heel and ankle. The mid foot fits well and is secure whilst there is plenty of room in the toe box. The shoes still feel light to me, and I'm completely chuffed with the feel. |
