Nike Lunareclipse+
Posted: 09/12/11
'clunky'
Strengths:
look good - okay once you get into it
Weaknesses:
loose toe box, loose high heel support, weight / clunky
Overall:
Not my cup of tea and an expensive error on my part. In comparison to the Brooks Ravenna 2 and the Mizuno WaveRider 13 I've used (which were much cheaper), the Nike's were heavier, clunkier and just fit too weirdly for me to like or recommend. The loose toebox was the absolute pits though. I was fitted properly as well, and although ok on the treadmill / in the shop I just couldn't get on with them out on the road.

'...lean, green, running machine.....'
Strengths:
- lightweight
- comfortable
- going cheap(ish)
Weaknesses:
- takes a little while to get used to (my first lightweight pair of runners)
- only available in green.... :p
Overall:
The RW review says they're uncomfortable, well, they're not. In fact that they fit like a glove and I wish I could eat, walk, work and sleep in them. As they're my first lightweight runners they took a few runs to get used to, but they are light, made me feel quicker than I have been, and make you concentrate on foot placement (usually I just blunder along). I can actually feel my running form improving because of these shoes. Do I recommend? Hell yes.

'Where would I be without this?'
Strengths:
- Distance tracker
- Visual breakdown of performance available on PC / Mac
- HRM
- Host of other features
Weaknesses:
- slightly dated now
- a little on the chunky side
- bit restricted what you can and can't do on the results (zoom function anyone?!)
Overall:
Extremely happy with this product, which I picked-up online for £105! Advanced my running level by leaps and bounds in a matter of weeks....

PowerBar Performance Bar

'yum!!!'
Strengths:
A delicious bar packed full of energy
Weaknesses:
A bit pricey (but well worth the money), and also a bit sticky...
Overall:
Nom-a-licious and full of energy. I put it down to tell my wife how great it was and it stuck fast to my newly opened letters, and then stuck to my clothes - but still, it was yum, and helped knock 90 seconds of my 5k PB!

'Extremely comfortable, good looking and responsive runners.'
Strengths:
Good price, comfortable fit, and excellent responsiveness that took 90 seconds of my PB in one fell swoop.
Weaknesses:
Flashy design that may fade fast with a few runs.....
Overall:
Very happy with this purchase. Wasn' 100% in the shop trial, but outside on the road they just boosted my whole performance instantly.
