'A hundred times better than you imagine they'd be!'
Strengths: Very lightweight, you barely notice you're wearing anything! Incredibly comfortable upper! Well-priced! No bedding-in, instantly perfect fit! Great range of colours.
Weaknesses: If you're a badge snob, you'll stay away simply because they're Skechers. DON'T! As a fore-foot striker, I didn't find the curved sole a problem at all, others might! Only really suitable for short to mid distances.
Overall: I really like these trainers, despite being made by Skechers! Put aside your badge-snobbery & you'll be very impressed with the fit & comfort.
'Best pair of trainers I've owned! Fit like a glove from day 1! '
Strengths: Instantly comfortable. Cool deign. Fitted better than the other 4 I tried on in the shop. Ideal for neutral runners. Owned for 4 months now, trained for & ran 2 halfs & 1 full marathon & they still look & feel new. Would definitely buy again!
Weaknesses: Not sure about the memory gel business. It is claimed it can tell when your foot is sprinting, or jogging & adjusts the gel accordingly...I couldn't tell any difference. Could that mean it works perfectly? Who knows? Pricey - top end product from Brooks, so you may pay up to £100, could well be cheaper trainers out there that do the same job!
Overall: I would recommend these to any neutral runner. They feel so right the moment you lace them up. I always wore Mizuno, but didn't like the feel of the latest Wave Rider, so tried the Brooks Glycerin 9. They felt poles apart. I've clocked many pain & blister-free miles in them & look forward to many more, at which point I'll not hesitate to purchase another pair!
