Garmin Forerunner 405

'Garmin Forerunner 405'
Strengths:
Looks good. Lots of good features. Easy to use.
Weaknesses:
Very poor battery life. I had to send back to Garmin in first couple of months as it kept cutting out when i was out running even though it was fully charged. Customer care not very good when i spoke to them on the phone. It takes a long time to get signal. I have to stand about outside for 5 minutes quite often. The strap on my watch broke after a couple of months and I was going to have to pay for it to be fixed. The watch does not work in the rain. It is very sensitive, beeps all the time and switches from screen to screen when you are running and its wet.
Overall:
It is a real shame as this has all the makings of being a mgnificant watch for running however is let down by many malfunctions. After looking at other reviews and speaking to others who have also bought this watch it would seem these issues are common throughout and it seems garmin are not really bothered. The watch takes a long time to get satalite, strap breaks quite easily, does not work in the rain (not good in scotland) and battery life can be very short. This combined with poor customer care from Garmin makes having this watch a frustrating experience. As it costs over £200 i would expect a lot more.
