Strengths: If you can stomach the consistency, I've found these the best performing gels I've used. Flavours all seem to be good.
Weaknesses: The packet shap makes them hard to store on a run. Would prefer a long and thin shape so I could use a gel belt. Are very gloopy and thick - if you are dehydrated you will struggle to swallow.
Overall: If I'm running a marathon in cold/cool conditions always use these gels with water.
Strengths: Has all the features you could ever want, with session analysis possible after downloading the data to PC. Easy to read display.
Weaknesses: Foot Pod (for me) - depending on my type of session I do alter my stride length and this throws out the distance reading from the footpod. Calibration doesn't always work first time.
Overall: I've had mine for nearly 3 years of marathon training, so works for me. Am considering swapping for the newer RS800SD as the footpod is supposed to be better.
'DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN (OKAY PLASTIC BOTTLE!)'
Strengths: The chocolate is great, the strawberry I got used to, the banana is FOUL!. It me a little to get it mixed properly, but now it is my stample when I walk in the door after 15+ miles runs.
Weaknesses: The 'thicker' consistency is a love/hate thing, my wife tried it once and it started her gagging!
Overall: I've tried all the other major brand recovery style drinks and this is my favourite. A litre is always waiting in the fridge after a long run.
