Asics Gel-Nimbus 12

'Probably the best shoe I've had after trying various brands ove rthe years.'
Strengths:
Comfortable to wear, and the extra wide fitting suits nme to a T. It's good that with a 7.5 foot I can wear a shoe that isn't tight on the width.
Weaknesses:
Non so far, except my right lace keeps coming undone a few times whilst running?

Science in Sport Go Gel

'VERY PATELABLE'
Strengths:
Nearly like a drink than a gel
Weaknesses:
The pack is bigger than the Lucozade gels, so takes up more room when running. Leaves your hands a bit sticky.
Overall:
Not as viscous as some of the gels out there and more easy to diigest. You can take these without having to drink water afterwards.

'GOOD COMFORATBLE SHOE'
Strengths:
I have wide feet and find them a good fit.
Weaknesses:
I seem to get a hole each time on the top bit of canva just above my toes.
Overall:
I'm on my 3rd pair. I bought another pair off a mate with a promise of an extra £10 if I got under 30 minutes for 5 miles. Sadly missed out by 36 seconds but have that £0 in my pocket in case.

Garmin Forerunner 405

'A SLICK, COMPACT WATCH. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 505!'
Strengths:
Being able to track your distance & pace is invaluable. Also being able to scroll through previous training runs & view the time, distance, pace & calories burned is a good feature.
Weaknesses:
When it rains or you sweat a lot the bezel control doesn't work. This has to be the most frustrating thing. I've lost count of the amount of times where I have tried to access the other screens when it is slightly raining & it doesn't work! The battery life needs to be longer, especially after a few back to back training runs.
Overall:
A brilliant companion & training device albeit with a few technical hiccups. I have never owned a GPS watch before and can't compare this to the others, but I am very glad to have it. Worth the money.
