Doesn't humour need to be funny? Anyway, you invited the accusation of sexism so it was given to you. How can you say 50% of women play by these rules? I've never seen it happen.

ouch, it looks like she's heel striking in stilettos.

Women in general forego all sense when it comes to shoe choices as there seems to be a competition where the girl in the most ridiculous shoes wins. It is not a huge leap to then decide to do a Marathon in high heels and then she will be the shoe queen of the whole marathon. And before any ladies attack me for sexism, I will only accept your critique if you can honestly say that you have never smiled through an evening of agony caused by 'pretty' shoes strangling your feet.

That is very sexist and quite wrong. I couldn't give a toss about shoes. Can honestly say that I have never smiled through an evening of agony caused by pretty shoes. If they aren't comfy, I don't wear them. You'll find me in the garden in my Grinders.

Back on the subject though. If these shoes are being made for her, are they actually being made to run in? albeit with a heel? I'm just wondering what these shoes will actually be like.

It's obviously a stunt / gimmick, like running as part of a caterpillar. Why?It does look like she's putting a bit more thought into it.

Seems like her shoes are being made for the event, 5" heels with 1/4" across. She says she is going to follow a traditional 16 week marathon training plan, has a personal trainer and is learning to mid / forefoot strike.

Ambitious? Foolhardy?

Whatever, running a marathon forefoot striking is tough in trainers, let alone heels. Does she grasp how fatigued she'll get.

Oh and she is saying sub 5 hrs now.

Horlicks needed here. I'm tired and I think I can justify it being bed time. Hopefully my brain won't build chicken coops all night long.

Feel that my biggest risk is that of falling and causing an injury significant enough to warrant medical treatment and not being able to contact anyone. I don't feel at risk from another person.

Can't do cheesemass now, have booked a concert ticket. I really wanted to go to the concert. I didn't check dates. I'll be at cheesemas virtually though.

Hope things are going well SC. Does the strange sprouty stuff from your head mean that you are starting to resemble a baby hedgehog?

I gave up with my har the day I started riding motorbikes. Lids and hair don't mix.

I have had an interesting day. Done some domestics, went for a run then went out to the land. Did some mowing which was enjoyable as I achieved my objective. Also managed to flail the cutout switch for the flail. It got caught in some overhanging branches and pinged off the quad and run over and munched by the mower. Good news is that the flail still works without it, I just have to touch the two wires together when I want to stop the engine. Will need to fix that tomorrow, think I have a switch in the garage. I enjoy this life yaknow.

I have eaten 5 curlywurlies in the past couple of days. Pig. I need to go on a diet. I have been stuffing my face, comfort eating as I was feeling a little unhappy.

Hope everyone is mundane as can be. Need to sort my recycling out.
