Some and i note SOME can get away with grinding. However you need to have a fecking spot on position and change the gear ratio. I "bimble" on a 75 cadance. however that is pushing a 55/11 ratio. Only due to his fancy bike fitting has a certain pebble come back and beat my time(show down next seaon folks!)

You will get some grinders list fairy, you get some spinners. get someone to look at your style.

I'm just a wimp and like as much comfort as I can get

It simply isn't fun without a bit of give and if you are out for a full day in a MTB park you'd not do a second day on a cross

LOL I have a full sus and and cross bike(two of my growing fleet!) fun in diffrent ways. This comfort you speak of? 12 hour racing you never get any

If you but any decent suit, any decent tailor should be ablie to bring it in/take it out for you.

i used to have stunning suits fro work. looked the mutts nuts in them. All off the peg and further tailored. Looked a million dollars, cost about a million lira.

Cheers FB.

Just curious thats all. I have done some stupid things on my crossbike. Done some stupid things on my full suss!

Do you gain anything from this?

Qualification for 2012?

Sorry but its a hobby, why get so het about it. Unpaid organisers have to work fecking silly amout of time just for the rest to race for upto a few hours.

I have organised races before and the sh*t nitpicking that goes on, has made me stop doing the races.

As above unless you have missed out on a once in a life time qualification like Kona, 2012, national champs. Get over it, gracefully accept mistakes happen and get on with it.

Sorry barge back into this thread.

Quick question for FB and O5.

Why are you saying cross bikes can not take the "rough" stuff?

Think what your original MTB looked like Pre-suspension!

Im not after biff, just curious to your stance on it. I got hardtail/full sus and a cross. The cross bike was faster across "The Gap"(becons ultra one) and ive done all routes on afan on one. no problems in anyway.

No current muddy fox is worth it. Retail at £300 and sone how they get sold for £99! this because they are worth £99! Grip shift changers that are shire full stop. £100 more and 2nd hand is much better option.

Muddy fox of today has FUCKALL to do with muddy fox of old(god rest OLD Muddy fox!)

How do you cycle train?

o 4 - 6 reps first time out and build up to 8 - 10 reps. Builds speed and is ideal prep for 10 - 50m TTs.

Cheating git   10 mile TTs just learn to hurt. 25 miles hurt a bit less but for longer, 50 miles same as 25 but with a drink!

Oh the shame!!!
