New Years Resolutions

My new years resolution is to laugh more.

Pete Doherty running FLM

Posted: 29/12/2007 at 21:22

The discipline of training for the race might actually help him with his battle against drugs.  There was a thread on here that ran for ages where a chap was an addict and used running to help in get back on track.  Taking the piss out of people for making the effort is terrible and not giving the guy a chance is just plain stupid.  BTW just in case anybody didn't realise the papers don't always print the truth and as well as a very gifted songwriter and musician I'm sure that there are a lot more positive things about Pete that none of us know or will ever see.  Basically he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't!

Pink me too.  Hubby and I went to a movie theme fancy dress party a few years ago and we decided an hour before leaving to both go dressed in running gear and he word sunglasses and went as 'Coolrunnings' and I went holding holding a knife 'Bladerunner'. Very, very lazy!

    Metal mickey now you're talking!

Nam!!! Believe it or not I nearly, oh so very, very nearly mentioned that horrid other thread subject but thought better of it however your post made me giggle...tee hee.

So it seems it's OK to punch a copper at a race but you can't listen to music.....what a sorry state of affairs eh?

Tri so it's ok to attack people is it?  Doesn't matter what day of the week or time of the day it is or under what circumstances attacking people is out of order.  Even if this guy is mentally unstable he still needs to be treated for a problem that could have seen a person killed, what if he'd had a knife on him

Another case in court at the moment is another 'loon' who was sat on the top of a bus throwing chips at the other passengers.  One decent chap, who was with his girlfriend, asked the chip thrower to stop.  The chip thrower stabbed him several times and the guy is now dead.  It turns out the chip thrower is paranoid schizophrenic, so my question is does that make the horror of the 'decent' mans death any easier for the family to come to terms with because the chip thrower has a mental illness and was just, that very day, let out of prison? Does that make the chip thrower innocent of this disgusting crime?

No difference in my eyes.  The arse at GNR was wrong and should be punished or treated if he is mentally disturbed.

If people who do these cannot be referred to as 'loons' then I'll refer to them as mad w*nkers then.

I don't agree that the copper was an 'arse'.  The bloke in the dock sounds like a loon and needs locking up!  I don't think for one moment that he was ill he was just an agressive w*nker much like a lot of others that are around at the mo.  I'm not defending his actions just because he's a runner........he's a piece of sh*t as far as i'm concerned. The police don't need that crap on top of everything else they have to deal with.
