Back after a hernia surgery

Posted: 29/11/2013 at 12:07

I'm interested to see what replies/advice you get as I had my surgery yesterday, from what I've read on other forums everyone is different, I've read some people back running within 2 weeks, some a lot longer.

Have to agree on what a great day it was, definatley back next year. There was loads of positives, great weather, great pre/post race entertainment, good course and a finish line within 50 metres of a pub, what more could you ask for.

My only gripe was the starting area was very crowded, a lot of runners stood far to forward for their ability but you get that at most races I guess.

Great race yesterday, we had it all, good weather, good course and excellent marshalls. Definatley one of the better 10K's around.

3.41:07 for me, very pleased with that after last years DNF. Much better course than last year, agree with the comment about the water station in Sale outside the town hall, it was chaos so I decided to skip it.

Enjoying a couple of beers now.

Paxton - Trafford Centre isn't too far and has plenty of choice of where to eat/drink.

I'm constantly checking the weather reports, it's the only thing I'm worrying about, everything else is in my own hands, last year was horrendous and I dropped out just before mile 20.

Number 3660 - Pen C for me,.
