Shedboy - I can recommend putting a spot of Vaseline on chafe-prone areas before you go out. Works for blisters as well - I haven't had one since I started slathering my feet in the stuff, even after wading through the recent floods. Also can recommend quinoa for protein - I make a salad out of it, it is surprisingly tasty,
My hip/glute is aching again, trying to nip it in the but (ha), had a massage last week and am avoiding running this week, won't run further than 6 miles again before Reading HM weekend after next. So far have been swimming and spinning and to circuits to keep my fitness up, feeling pretty good - seem to be dropping weight at the moment as well.
