Yes, I believe all the sample stage hurt was someone's dignity.

We 3 - I think it depends on your local PCT. MrAN told our GP he wanted the snip in early January and was eventually, after a bit of chasing, given an appointment in early April. A GP in the next town did it, in his surgery one Saturday morning, no hospitals were involved. You then have to wait weeks (10 I think) before you do the sample bit, which you have to do twice, a month apart (I think, I wasn't so involved in that part). Anyway, it was all done and dusted by September. I didn't realise it would take sooooo long.

Well done KT. MrAN had one done back in April. He got infected and then his wound wouldn't heel. It was about two months before he could run again.

Then he sprained his ankle and hasn't been able to run since.

But gyms are hilarious in January! Full of folk with absolutely no clue but think they know what they're doing.

This year it was more miles, more yoga, more manicures and less moaning. Definitely hit the first two and really, really loved yoga as I got into it more. The manicures were the first thing to go when I lost regular employment. The lack of regular employment also cut the moaning right down too, funny that.

I don't really have anything sorted for next year yet. I need to get a job, MrAN is going to have shoulder surgery and I'm doing my first marathon, so I think I'll be too tied up with those three things to try and decide what I need to change in my life.

I have a large puckered scar on my left arm and lots of smaller ones on my right. People do stare, it is very upsetting.

There's are running shops in Wadebridge, St Austell, Helston, Truro and Bude. They should be able to help you out.
