Thats rediculas he got away with that! I 've logged over 9,000 miles in training and never once come even close to running into someone- especially in that manner!

Yep I'm in for the 100 after doing the 50 last year. No running at all in March and April but have done over 500 miles since then, although nothing over 27 miles and no major hill training!

Hoping to remain injury free as the niggles are building up!

Good luck yo both of you

Stumbled across this thread again last week and tried the first of your suggestions Rob- its opened up a host of new options!

Will also have to check out the causway route Tim

Not long till the l100 Gee Bee hows the prep going? After missing all of march and april through injury training seems to be ticking along nicely now for me.

The art of the DNF

Well its going to be my 3rd attempt at a 100 miler at the L100 this year for me after you encouraged me to enter the winter 100 on here in 2012 Ben. So far I only have a DNS and DNF to my name. I always find your tips on here useful, so hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky!

Rob, I think ive got the wrong trail it could be the bowes railway. Ive ran it numerous times I should know the name of it by now!

I start near hebburn, go up through wrekenton, up past the angel, past kibblesworth and up to tanfield railway station. Ive tried to find a link to Beamish but no luck so far!

Im in Gateshead but am short on trail options. My standard long run is a 20 mile out and back along the tanfield railway path. Rarely see anyone else out!
