No money seems to have gone off my card - which is a bugger if that means I've got nothing, as I deliberately put in for non-medal sessions that I thought would be at least slightly less over-subscribed.  We shall see...

A "proper" session for me tonight (which as I've been thinking more about cycling than running was a turn up...) - 10 miles with the middle 6 in 7:23, 7:21, 6:58, 6:43, 6:33, 6:27 - blowing a bit towards the end but a fair way off eyeballs out.  Although I do need to run some hills - our blast over t'crag last weekend (which has a mile and a half of climb, with 600' of climb in under a mile) was still hurting my quads on Tuesday!

Afternoon all. All a bit "occasional" and ad hoc here - still bashing out the sessions but without much in mind other than trying to get some bike miles in (sorry PMJ). A good 6 miler Monday with 4 fast miles in the middle, a blustery bike commute Tuesday then a comfortable 5 miler yesterday lunch that ended up averaging 7:25. Then after work a very lumpy 20 mile bike ride (2,500' ascent) with some colleagues.

All looks to be busy busy on here as usual - have Abo build ups started?

Nice running Fraser. Very impressive in the conditions.

Just did a steep and short fell run over Embsay Crag - just under 4m but tough going up and ran all thevway, then practised my descending on the way down.

Now watching the Mighty Wigan try to beat 12 blokes from Bratfud...

Fat lazy git here - after the high point of my 6m with 4 quick ones on Monday I've done bugger all exercise and bugger all reading and posting.  Was meant to be the inaugural family bike ride at our new cycling club today but the weather's absolutely vile.  Shame, as I was going to destroy my eldest daughter on the climbs for waking me up at 2:20am with her noisy sleepover mates.  Will just have to make do with a gusty run over the crag.

Sooooo glad I ditched the Etape du Dales sportive in favour of a 40 mile bimble with the cycling club.  My brother turned up last night absolutely shell-shocked after 9 and a half hours of wind, rain and hills. He's just had 10 days in Mallorca, including a 2 day sportive.  They did have one organised up to the very top of Puig Major up the military road that only gets opened a couple of times a year, but somebody inconveniently decided to shoot Osama Bin Laden so it was kept shut.  Then he did the Fred Whitton last weekend, which is 115 miles of Cumbrian lumpiness followed by the Etape this week - and I thought I was daft for running the Peaks a fortnight after London...

Out after work tonight for the first bit of effort since VLM (well, I suppose the 3 Peaks was a bit of an effort...) - 6 miles with the middle 4 in 6:42/6:33/6:28/6:23.  Quite hard work, but not eyeballs out.

Went out with the recently reformed (and for me recently joined) Ilkley Cycling Club today. The diary did have the very tough 112 miles of the Etape du Dales sportive, but thanks to VLM training i'm in no shape for that nonsense. 38miles at a briskish average of 16mph.

Firstly lots of hugs to MsE -that's great news. She still needs Lance's book though.

And keir - I'm fecking awestruck. To train like a bastard and have it snatched away because of a poxy virus then to go and knock it dead like that is amazing. Sew another "hero" badge on your Man Suit.

Jase - you continue to astound.

Congrats RJ. We've seen a fat lad transform into a fast lad, now he'll turn into a fat dad!

All the best tomorrow MsE.

I've had a new arrival today - my new forerunner 610. No running with it yet though.

+1 with bells on from me MsE - thoughts are with you. Hope it's better than you could hope for.

Bike to work and back today for me - took 4 minutes off my lumpy ride home since last week - but still 6 minutes behind my "PB" for that route.
