Brighton Marathon 2015

Hi All - some great training & racing going on from everyone.

I've been a bit quiet on the forums but very much looking forward to 12th April now.

Training was hampered by a chest infection (plus anti-biotics) but i'm plodding back now having done a slow parkrun Saturday, 11 miles in the wind & rain Sunday and 4 miles this morning.

London Marathon - chest infection with four weeks to go

Posted: 31/03/2015 at 13:23

Fingers crossed for you jamscho.

I've had the same, and took two weeks out of my prep for Brighton.  I'm now running again and although I feel a little "sluggish" my legs feel fine and my post-run recovery times are still as short compared to before my chest infection.

I'm planning on running at Brighton now, assuming no other bugs get me.

Glad you sorted it Rob.

I think Trailsurfer is sorted via a clubmate.  I'll check when they're back from Cyprus.

Don't discount trail marathons Andy, there are some really beautiful ones out there.

I'll be honest that I've looked at the CTS endurance events.  I need to sort my diary to get to one.

i'm looking forward to the Endure24 this year too. I'm in a team but hope to get 25 or 30 miles in the 24 hours.  That's all cross-country.
