Term time holidays

No not comparing it all and good for anyone who stands up for themselves. But like everything two sides to all stories and a lot of parents are fed up with having to pay fines, then the teachers go on strike.

A couple of days around a half time shouldn't need letters from work. Surely.

When both my kids have had 100% attendance apart from one day. The eldest won the progressive prize for his year and best maths, while the youngest got all straight A's in her report. Does that sound like two kids that have done bad this year.

As for politicians they are are as bad as each over.

Hi all,

Early morning 9 miles for me a bit cooler than the other day but warm enough.

Went to a podiatry clinic yesterday not that I'm injured just have really tight calves and hamstrings. Got some new insoles coming and will be joining Mel with the stretching exercises.

It's a pain in the arse when teachers go on strike????, I took my kids out for one day which I had to get a letter from work, only then did the school authorise it, saved me ??600.00 apparently the kids classes only watched videos that day. The teachers have had three strike days, we have lost money due to having to look after them.

Well done Mel on the C2C.

B&T. Anything is better than nothing helpful stress release I expect.

Went for a splash tonight, didn't do a lot just several 50 metres with rests but wasn't to snotty so all systems go again.

Hi all,

Still really hot, how's everyone's training getting on?

I've missed a few sessions due to having a fierce head cold, chest and nasal full of snot ( sorry) so no swimming which is what I need to be doing more off, but got back on the bike Sunday for just over 40 miles with nearly 2000 ft elevation gains (undualliting) at 15 mph and a run this morning at 6.30, 9 miles at 9 m/m HR pretty high but with the hot weather and remains of a cold will take that.

Take care all

Yvonne - I have been to Lindos, stayed in a small resort just past it called Pethkos the restaurants were superb there especially one called the collisium and one opposite that, may well have changed though. Lovely place

Hi all,

Em - hope your feeling better, very hard to do but rest is the key.

Toby - good running as normal.

B&T - very difficult for me to talk about hr cause I lost a lot of fitness, it is returning and hr is dropping again slowly, I'm not running fit as I was but I do feel fitter(if that makes sense) and stronger. Re: cadence I started off pushing big gears, I have now dropped down a couple of gears but using more rpm. Results with speed are now the same but I can run a lot better after the bike.

1st bit of exercise for about 10 days have had awful manflu. 18 mile bike ride @ 18.6 mph a nice tempo ride over an undusliting course

Take care all
