Well what a strange ending to the week. Couldn't really believe the news on Friday morning. However just have to get on with things now.
After today I have one more Long bike ride to do, two more jogs around 16 miles and one more longish swim with smaller bits in between.
Can't say I'm getting excited or nervous now because I have been since I signed up.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Morning All,

Getting close now, just a few more big training weeks left it seemed ages away when I signed up this.

Yesterday did cotswolds 113 happy enough. Swim went well sighting was fine. Bike well wet. Run was OK. Nice to meet up with the few pirates I spotted and we'll done Coops. Looked for you RTN but there was several of us on our own that looked nervous how did you get on?

RTN - I've read it that the official finish time is 7.5 hrs after the last wave no time cut off for swim and bike but after 5.5 hrs bike Marshall will move onto the run course.
If you can sight good can I follow you.

Cheers paperman, and hopefully meet up with some of you Sunday.

The wife asked if she could help out anywhere on course for a bit.
So if you've got room for her and two kids 14 & 12, they would be happy to help.

Up for a meet up night before.

Got a little bit behind with training had a week and a bit away. Done a bit of running a little swimming but no biking. Done a good 80 miles today on the bike though with well over 4000 ft of climbing. Ave speed 15.5 mph.
Next weekend will be the cotswolds 113, will be interesting must remember to sight. Anyone else going along thankfully I'm in wave 7.

Well that was an interesting introduction to OWS, once I manned up to the occasion I was quite happy, but didn't sight as much as I should of and let's just say I took the scenic route. Work in progress

Well I think I've got my nutrition sorted out for the day, something else is starting to bother me. What to wear on the bike leg did 4.5 hr bike Sunday and starting to feel it around the saddle area anyone got any good reviews for tri shorts and top or cycle bib and have a clean
change. I'm expecting to be on the bike for 6 - 7 hrs.

I'm another who's got a sore shoulder, hope you get sorted soon JC.

Thanks in advance.

RTN - I'm a newbie at biking and train on undulating routes (about 55 feet incline every mile) average between 15 - 16 mph. On a recent outing (37.5 ft per mile incline) I averaged 16.8 mph.

What I lose on the up hills I don't get back on the downhills.
