I am trying to step up my distance from 10k to 10mile. Tonight I was on a run that after 2mile had a steep hill for approx 1/3 of a mile. Once at the top my legs were aching and I found it difficult to recover enough to run over 4 miles. In theory I totally exhausted myself on the hill.
what is better for me shorter runs up hill or longer runs on the flat ? When the aim is to increase overall distance.
