19 / 19 done in the marcothon challenge! 102 miles month to date done. Got to say the legs are feeling it and today was the minimum of 3 miles to tick the box!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend running, with my daughter's birthday tomorrow and the wife's on Sunday it will be minimum running for me over the next two days.

Think we all get like that carterusm especially at this time of year, glad I started the marcothon as its pushing me out the door and my club challenge continues into January so hopefully that's where I'll continue to get my motivation from.

Reading the posts about Garmin, I often want a new a Garmin as I still use the forerunner 205 but it works great, holds a great charge, locks on quickly and I've had it about 5 years. Then I think do I need to change it as really I just want a new toy and will a new one work as well?

Tell me it gets easier!

Got to say I'm totally against people running with a dog, dogs stray and could affect other runners. Take the mutt to cani-cross where they belong and leave the party's to humans only.

Kattc, gentle gentle and slow!!! You don't want to be coming back from injury and you're first run back is see how fast you can go!!

Still in marcothon, 10/10 so far with today's run coming a bit later. Really enjoying it apart from the biting freezing wind.

CHARITY PLACE AVAILABLE FOR LONDON MARATHON 2015

Posted: 11/12/2014 at 13:12

5k?? Wow that's the most I've never heard of. Without being disrespectful to you're small charity which I'm sure does fantastic work the bigger well known charities usually ask 2k max!

Thing about a small charity it's harder for the person who's fundraising to get more money out of folk than say if the were raising for a well known charity like McMillan or similar.

You're best bet may be to approach someone who's benefited directly or a family member of someone who has benefited.

Sadly no matter who takes the place I think you're target should be around £1500 as most people who want to do it have their place sorted as training has started/ about to start. There's a lot of charity choice out there.

Kattc- sorry to hear that, first day of marcothon as well. My calf is giving me some pain and struggled a bit through my 1st marcothon run, just did the minimum today, see how it is tomorrow
