POSE Method of running?

Posted: 13/11/2015 at 16:58

Funny.  I always used to see this thread flash by and dismiss it out of hand as "not for me".  Didn't want to tinker with my style.

Now, after 35 years of running with a monstrous over-stride, I'm 3 months into a POSE-like programme of re-training my gait.  and who would have guessed - reading Born To Run finally pushed me to do something about it.

All going well so far

Thanks and good luck to all! Hope those who wanted places could get in!

Everything seems set up now! I'll be leaving around 7AM even though I live 2 minutes from Woolston train station!

Shame the weather won't be as sunny as the last few weekends but I'm sure it'll be a great day!

I'm number 6640 (10KM)

Nice win in the 10k Scott - well done

Ive done it a couple of times.  Pretty course, with hills, but the field can get strung out and it was lonely one time.  BUT....  it's the British Masters' 2014 HM championship race this year, so expect a few fast old gits!!!!

Well, the festive period has not disappointed.  Scientific research has proven pickled onions to be the best 'fuel'.

I've worn clothes on every single one of my runs for the past 36 years.  Is that a streak?

Top man, fat face.

As I wander aimlessly into my late 40s, the subject of this thread becomes more and more pertinent.  At least I'm still young enough to know I've let one go...

Happy Xmas, may your plate be full of said sprouts!
