Just like to know if anybody else suffers from abscess on back after running long distance . The abscess has been Diagnosis as Staph aureus Folliculitis which is a bacteria that lives on the skin which enters your hair follicles after a break in your skin.. Been running for about 5 years started doing 10ks then half marathons then trail running and so so leading up to ultras which been doing for about 3 years from 50ks to 69miles am a fit person but after running the wall run this year couple of weeks after got hit down with this abscess very pain full but it seems my body can't fight this so got to go on antibiotics then after it clears up a few weeks later after I ran my next ultra they reappear and so on.having test now waiting for blood test next week.hope to be fit for my 100miler next week. Any body else suffers this thanks
