Bobs.. Last year I flew Austrian Air (I think) LHR-Vienna-Klaggers and will probably do the same again. My bike went by road courtesy of Happychap/Toucs who drove.

Thanks Trogs - i'll take a look

This has probably been asked before a thousand times...

But what are people's travel plans for Klagenfurt?

So far I'm considering Wizz Air into Ljublana and then either car hire or train to Klagenfurt.

Any good suggestions? Failing that any suggestions at all?

Ability is probably a bit too strong a word to use!
Late forties, currently tipping the scales at the thick end of 16 stone.
No real athletic prowess, but stubborn as a mule.

This year completed the Outlaw Half in 06:42 - would have been closer to 6 hours if the wheels had not well and truly fallen off on the run (02:36 rather than the 2 hours I was expecting - stomach cramps from too much High5 on the bike).

Sweepstake sounds like a great idea...
Guess the finishing time of the fat middle aged novice!
What would the prize be?

Being my first IM I'm also looking forward to a PB!
Just wonder how many minutes under 17 hours I'll have to spare?

Good work Podds.

I'm very good at creating plans, not sticking to them, and then finally cobbling together some random training sessions in a vain attempt to lose some weight and get fit for events.

Things must change though as I want to enjoy IM Austria as much as I can (being my 1st Ironman) - training here we come!

Would love to do the Pirate DIY Half, but the date doesn't work for me.

Beaver sounds interesting - even if the bike is a bit short. JustRacing run some good events, and I'd be keen to try this one.

The deposit of 245 Euro has been paid and the rest when we get there. (I think its working out about 490 Euro in total for the room for 5 nights).

Nice one Cougie, thanks.

Not getting email updates from RW any more - do you think it's a hint?
