You and me both ByF

Inactivity has led to a somewhat less than svelte appearance

I've gone past "less than svelte" I'm now the size of a small planet, and have my own gravitational pull

"A" race is IM Austria in June!

Warmup possibly Monster Mojo in May (1/2 IM).

Have adapted Fink 30 week beginner's plan - starting 1st Dec. At the moment I'm concentrating on the bike, as I am trying to get rid of Planter Fasciitis - so running is a pain! Couple or Three swims a week to keep me ticking over.

Need to shed a ton of weight though, as I'm still mid 17 stone!

Happy to chip in even though it would be a miracle if I got my name on any trophy!

Bobs.. Last year I flew Austrian Air (I think) LHR-Vienna-Klaggers and will probably do the same again. My bike went by road courtesy of Happychap/Toucs who drove.

Thanks Trogs - i'll take a look

This has probably been asked before a thousand times...

But what are people's travel plans for Klagenfurt?

So far I'm considering Wizz Air into Ljublana and then either car hire or train to Klagenfurt.

Any good suggestions? Failing that any suggestions at all?

Ability is probably a bit too strong a word to use!
Late forties, currently tipping the scales at the thick end of 16 stone.
No real athletic prowess, but stubborn as a mule.

This year completed the Outlaw Half in 06:42 - would have been closer to 6 hours if the wheels had not well and truly fallen off on the run (02:36 rather than the 2 hours I was expecting - stomach cramps from too much High5 on the bike).

Sweepstake sounds like a great idea...
Guess the finishing time of the fat middle aged novice!
What would the prize be?

Being my first IM I'm also looking forward to a PB!
Just wonder how many minutes under 17 hours I'll have to spare?
