Me too: out at 5am and then childcare!

Enjoy tomorrow and say hello for me. Might seem slow, but it's all about time and endurance. Plus it's worked the last few years...

Don't worry about making the time. I was aiming for 4:30 at the start, but the improvements were shocking. If they didn't think you were able to make the time, you wouldn't have been picked. All of the team want you to succeed, and doing this on the forum really helps keep the motivation up.

You seem to have picked up a group already *waves at the others* who are here to share. And you'll be amazed by the amount of people who read and follow but don't post anything.

Get the pacing right and adjust to Sam's recommendation and you will have the most amazing running experience ever!

Do you have an outline plan yet or is that going to get posted at the start of the week?

Thanks James. I did the programme in 2012 and came in at 4:06 as the first timer. Sam's input was brilliant. The route is brilliant and the finish line, oh, the finish line...

I put my back out in January and was off work for months. Started to get back and then had another issue at the end of the summer that knocked my off track. But 2014 is gonna be a great one! For you too...

Well done James! It's a great experience do enjoy it. Sam and Steve are great.

I'm gonna be following if that's OK. Got a place in London so hoping to go under 4 after what can only be described as a shocking year for me. Hoping I can get carried to achieve on your coat tails

Auviour Paris: So long and thanks for the cobbles

Well, I did the Great Eastern yesterday after having most of the week off work with a viral infection (oh and no training). Got in @ 2:04 and it was a long, wet, bloody slog to the end. Man that medal required a lot of work.

Over 20 minutes off my half PB, but I don't care really...

Good luck on Sunday Oscarr!

Indeed SB. Missed the inspiration! I SO need a coach, it's actually silly.

Oscarr: marathon = awesome therefore you awesome... Not quite Yeats, but there you go.

mcs: I'm up your way in November for a week. Fancy a run down the Monsel trail?

Hi folks,

Remember me? Sorry I've not been around, but I think 2013 has been the worse year I've ever had... Seriously, it's been shocking.

I was hoping to get some running encouragement going on if that's OK? Between March and August thinks were on their way to improving after having a bad back... Then some poo came along and out pay to Abingdon and any plans of proper running.

But, but I've got a place at London next year with a charity and a place for The Wall... And I got out and did 8 this morning!

OK, looks like I might have made a mistake of going for the two day event... Did 14 yesterday and my legs are playing hell this morning (not quite at backwards down stairs but close). Got a year to train...

Cathrine: it's not a bonkers idea, sure there will be other people around thinking that they don't want to run on their own in the dark too.

Good luck with the injury runnin man!

I was thinking about hiring a camper van and trying to get OH and kiddie to meet me at the middle, anyone got any thoughts on this. Oh, and migt be a comfortable bed in it too...
