Where can I get a quality running t-shirt made?

Posted: 03/03/2014 at 22:42

Need to be quarters...

We have a club vest - but I look hideous in it so a t-shirt would be far better.  Would like the material joined rather than printed!

Anyone use anyone they could recommend?

Thanks for your help

Diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis... Classic symptoms.

For llast two weeks I have followed medical advice and nit run... Pain has eased off but I am slowly going mental!

At night I am wearing a Fs6 support and in the morning doing alphabet with feet to stretch/ warm them up.

Icing on a frozen bottle threetimes a day.

What else can I do to speed up my recovery? And how long will I be off running?  Or can I run through the pain with no damage?

JPGoodboy...  Thanks for the offer of cycling there to be honest it may be the spur I need to really out the miles in on the bike.

As I am off on Thursday I guess I really should head up there and brave it.

KingsburyWater Park know nothing about OW swimming g on the information desk! But the blue green algae notices puts me off anyway!

I guess I was totally daft and unprepared but you live and learn.

I guessI will have to find somewhere in the Coventry area that does open water swimming for numptlies like me.

Thanks for the reassurance that it will get better.

Out of bravado... Stupidity.. Pig headedness...  I signed up and did the Olympic Distance Birmingham Triathlon! - and had a right mare!

I made all the classic mistakes...  I lacked training generally - cycling especially my posterior has still to recover!  But the worst of all was the OW swim...

I moved from doing 400m pool based swims to 1500m OW.  I hadn't experienced an open water swim in a lake before... Never swum in a wetsuit!  And quite frankly was totally unprepared.

I started at the back of the field and confidently remained there exiting the water as the female wave entered the water...

Now I suffered massively on actually being able to swim...  I felt my arms wouldn't rotate properly to do front crawl, my breathing went mental and my suit felt it was crushing my chest...  (Maybe I am too fat!  but I did get the largest suit there is!)  I couldn't totally manage to put my face in the water for any length of time - no line to follow and only just being able to see my arm was off putting.

Was all this just lack of practise?  Do I just need to find somewhere to get in my suit and swim OR did I not put the suit on properly.

Please reassure me it will get better.

Thanks

Bike Numpty Question...

Wife is tempted to try a sprint tri in September...  Currently she has a 3 speed shopper bike - which seems to be made of heavy duty steel lead lined suspension...  tyres made of iron...  ie it weighs the best part of a tonne!!!  And has a basket and pannier fixed on!

I was wondering round Halfords and Decathlon I saw some reasonable priced road bikes  they seemed a better idea of riding one of them than dragging her ...  are the geometries now all for men or is their a women's range or would she happily manage on a small mens frame?  Just feel that it might be a slightly better option on a 15mile cycle trip.
