I love the way flying ants erupt like a little volcano. For about 5 minutes, then I just get the urge to spray Raid wildly all over the lawn

And remember, using google to find the answers will make you feel dirty and cheap

My (occasional nowadays) quiz team generally suffers under team names that I lift from films. Three points for spotting the films, and a two point bonus for spotting the misquotes

1. Zulus sir, thousands of them

2. We're gonna need a bigger boat

3. It wasn't the airplanes

Excellent work there Mr P. I think I have now recovered sufficiently from last night to pop out for a bimble

Two great semis today - I reckon Murray just might nick it this time- I've been watching tennis for many a long year and I am not sure I've seen anyone hit a ball so hard so  accurately as Janowitz. Del Potro must be a Major contender soon as well - I'm pretty sure I remember him beating Murray at the US quarter final in maybe 2009?

TDF though - what a fecking performance by Cannondale today! However, I have £10 each way on Cadel Evans this year at decent odds, and he is riding right at the front on every stage

I think I can safely post a light hearted anecdote here. I teach classical guitar as a second job, and I have a ten year old genius among my students - he's already doing grade 4 and his feel for music is way ahead of mine or anyone else I've known. This evening he sat down and said "we had sex education at school today" - I asked if it went okay and he shuddered and went "Mostly it was fine, but then we had to watch a film and we had to see right up inside a girl's vagina!"

I talked about how interesting I found looking at how the heart works, how the lungs work, etc, and he said "that's great but we've all got them!"

I think in the end I heard myself saying something close to , "oh well, unless you decide to become a doctor you won't have to look inside one again."
