Who else gets up at stupid O clock to run ??

Ha ha! Brilliant!

Kate, the water temperature is fine for shortish non-wetsuit swims although having said that, I made a navigational error last night (aimed for the wrong buoy) and added about 10 minutes to my planned 20 minute swim.

Had blue hands and uncontrollable shivering afterwards so definitely stayed in too long!

On the plus side the water is incredibly clear and free of weeds/duck shit!

My son's training for Ironman Muskoka so he's using the lake for long (wetsuited) training swims. We have a DIY sprint tri that we do over there once a week. Feel free to join us on Sunday if you want.

Cycling today!

Morning

Have been mostly SOC swimming of late at Frensham  but was out for a run this morning albeit one that was interrupted by several stops to chat to dog walkers. Will be back in the lake this evening for a swim and then again tomorrow morning with the FARTS!

Good to see you back here valis!

Made it to the pool yesterday and swam 3800m in 1hr25.

Cycled a tad under 60k today and hope to get a run in tomorrow but am collecting my sister-in-law from heathrow at 05.40 so will have to see how I feel later.

Saw a dead rat on my cycle ride today! NW 1 big bird of prey and about a dozen Alpacas.

Evening

Today was a busy one with an SOC run for breakfast, 2 hours on the bike for lunch and another late afternoon run for tea! Saw the sunrise and the sunset whilst out running!

Evening all

Good to see lots of training going on here.

Had a busy week running, biking and swimming (with two sessions/day most days) and culminating with Farnham Tri's Sprint Duathlon this morning.

Also busy from a personal point of view with my mother being found collapsed in her house and taken by ambulance to hospital. Unfortunately she's suffering from dementia - diagnosed last summer - and has been discharged to a care home where I think she'll probably have to spend the rest of her days. Visited her today with Mother's Day gifts but sad to see her in such circumstances.

And you're right Kate, what's happened to Spring? Hands were frozen this morning!

Evening..

Managed to get in a longish (14 mile) run today before the weather turned nasty. Loads of dog walkers out plus ramblers and military personnel on exercises.

NW 3 deer, 2 swans, 1 horse, chickens, sheep, highland cattle.

Morning

Sorry to hear about your mate Birkey and it does, indeed, bring life into perspective.

2.3k in the pool last night. Hard session and feeling weary this morning. Have a meeting in London today so calling hump-day a rest day.
