David you have held your head high and the graciousness is very impressive- must be the Scottish blood (like your kinsmen Malcs and myself!!)

Gutted for Tigger, and know how it feels

Can't help feel there is a degree of inconsistency- it was supposed to be purely on votes, but wasn't that why they ditched the vote counters last year?

At the end of the day I think we should realise that this is also a commercial exercise and journalistic interest/potential to reach different groups will affect how RW and Asics view the selections. It has happened before and will happen again.

It is just a shame that people get their hopes and aspirations wound up with it, as well as the knock on effect on friends/colleagues/loved ones.

Just like the X-factor without high waisted trousers and Karaoke singers that look like Deputy Dawg aka Stevi

Echo Malcs sentiments- been a great thread, and whilst I hope to see my friend tigger go to Paris, whoever wins will deserve it, and hopefully be a great ambassador for the competition

Waiting with baited breath...

X factor (cos the kids like it)

Coronation Street (I have to confess many years before kids I used to record it if I was going out; I've had therapy since then so got over it)

Brown sauce, slightly more than BBQ sauce (worth trying, Aussies do it and it really works)

Tigger- you cannot convince me about brussell sprouts though

Keep up the good work guys, not long now...

BK Canter- I like your thinking and the reasoning is well laid out; however I think you set unrealistic targets, (as voiced by others). These people are aiming for sub 3:30, and the other targets are quite ambitious, particularly a sub 40 10k, or sub 90 half. I ,for one, am miles off that (10k 41.57, Half 91:15), but have twice run under 3:30 (best 3:23).

None of the pace calculators come near the times you suggest, in particular the Mcmillan (the best IMHO). What are your times and targets?
