Anyone want a GNR 14 PLACE?

I have a number for GNR on september 7th, but I have decided not to run for a variety of reasons (family commitments, etc). It is for starting pen orange B (behind the elites) so ideal for someone who might be trying to get a time as not very congested and get running quickly.

I am happy to let someone else have it.

Message me and we can arrange something. It is a great event, have run it twice before.

and I might do Round Sheffield too along with Sarah, (assuming I can get someone to look after the kids as the wife is on call)

Awesome result! Great report, and so proud of you for doing it. I feel ill just thinking about it. no question the miles are banked, time for another taper before London. spoke to Tigger last week- she's very excited!

Nice run Malcs!

My race calculator (Mcmillan) gives you 3:08:36 based on your HM time- now that would be amazing!

Hey Malcs,

Good to see everything gone nicely into the last week. Agree with Steve's plan- 1;43 first half will feel like a walk in the park considering the training and level you have deservedly got to. Then a sub 3:25 well on the cards. More importantly it will give you the confidence for the second half to push on...

DS- go home- don't let your business partner give you the lergy!!!

Another lurker here....

I have used a 2 week taper for my marathons, and not had any issues with it- also I have not done such high mileage as some of the others. I think the most important thing is that you actually do cut back, and listen to your programme and resist the 'taper madness'. a 3 week one is possibly better for newer runners too?

Malcs- sorry to hear the foot is not so good, know the feeling...

Sessions look like they have been going well, so a couple of days recovery won't be too much of a hit.
