Beyond #asics262: life after Target 26.2 for sub-3:30 runner Malcolm

Hi all

Internet and loads of work on so apologies for not posting for a while

Strathearn marathon yesterday finished in 4hr 20 a very tough marathon with plenty of hills !! It was nice to run a race with no time pressure where it was good to take in the stunning views of Perthshire, very well organised before after and during the run, only 190 entries with 149 finishers, a big contrast with London.

The race started and ended in an old POW camp in Cullybraggen no wonder the camp was here every direction was uphill outside the gates

Isle of Arran half next race for me

10k PB tonight first time under 45 think the last two weeks hills helped 44.03 finishing time

Only three weeks till Strathearn marathon so a 10 mile hill run this Thursday plus another long run Sunday, legs are starting to turn again after London !!

Hi everyone

Just getting back into some kind of routine after London 30 miles last week and a good speed session on the club night tonight

I  have signed up for

8th June Strathearn marathon no PB on that course , one of the UK's smallest marathons only 109 entered up to now with a max 200 allowed

6th July Isle of Arran Half

Plus a few 10ks feel after the injury's got a bit left to give this year with Glasgow Half marathon in October the main target

Best days weather of the year today perfect running conditions

After looking at Loch Ness and Chester for the next marathon instalment I have madly settled on Strathearn marathon in six weeks, from 36k runners to a max 200 in rural Perthhire, should be an experience!!

First run after London today a gentle three miles felt nice to be out again

What's going to happen to their thread after Boston? Is that it?

Or maybe a Malcs running group on Strava?

If not my twitter is Troon Hatter if any one fancies keeping in touch

Hi everyone

missed the church bench meet I just couldn't find it,Following directions are not my best point

Missed out on my 4hr target by two minutes but have to say I had nothing left in the legs so no regrets from me, the heat is just not something we are used to in Scotland, I am at the airport waiting for my flight home I am so sunburnt the wife is going to think I have had a cheeky weekend  in the med !!

Bag is packed, boarding card printed, last foam roll completed  final coffee before heading off to Glasgow Airport for the 2.10 flight to London City

Can't decide on xpo on arrival or tomorrow morning, will decide on the plane, my hotel is close to Liverpool St station.

I know I am starting at Greenwich so if that is the church location I will try to make it for the meet up, not even looked at how to get to the start line yet
