Good race, pleased with 3:19 GFA achieved for London 2015

Lost the 3:15 pacer at 17 mile  but managed to hang on in there.

Hope you all had a good race, met your targets and got home safe and well. Enjoy, now on to the next, Edinburgh for me

Dave, I had a similar same thing happen with those in red vans. Card was posted, "Sorry you were out" and I opened the door, I asked for the parcel only to be told, "you're normally at work so I haven't bought it, and it wont be at the sorting office 'till tomorrow as it's still on the van which is else where".

Great, I'd only paid extra for next day delivery and booked the day off to receive it!

Phil, swimming is a lot of effort getting changed and unchanged. Ill stick to the running for my recovery.

Samir, you only need trunks and not the warm clothes you use for running!. Should be less effort.

Hi Bryn,

With out reading through the previous posts; have you tried using a foam roller?

I got one from amazon and follow the exercises on youtube, it has really helped.

Good luck.

Stevie, I don't mind being 10th after 1 mile but I would be very impressed with the other runners who had beaten me to that point. I don't mind getting passed by a lot of runners either. Eventually I will be matched to runners to my true HM level instead of my 1 mile level.

Toro, garmins are heavy anyway. Do you want to take the blame for a poor performance?

PLEASE 'take on board' the advice given.

You aint gonner be matched to runners to your true HM level if you go out at 4:20 pace. You'll blow it!

Scott, you should really take race jase's advice. I know I'm one to talk but he's right.

"If" - you will stay their for eternity. "When" isn't great but it gives you something to work towards, not back which is impossible.

Im planning on walking my local  5k park run but I need some advice on the best fuelling strategy. does this sound like a suitable plan for me ( I have been training for 18months )

Far more important than nutrition I find is that you need to make sure you wear warm cloths, perhaps an Italia jacket as used by elites.
