Sadly I have not done any training for my marathon for the past 3months due to an anjle injury. This injury has still not healed (im currently seeing a doctor) thus I need to do some training which wont make my ankle worse

can anyone recommend anything? so far... I can only think of doing core work

How was everyones run?

Congratulations on the great times Andy and Cornwall!!

Sadly I had to defer my entry to next year due to my injury (which I assumed was inflamation/ sprain) turning out to be a hairline fracture

And I got declined from the London Marathon! haha what a sucky weekend!

If anyone stayed at an amazing hotel which was cheap feel free to let me know the name

Once again, well done to everyone who completed the marathon! I am so envious.

Ankle pain

if there was no sign of any other symptoms (e.g. swelling) its most likely inflamed ... id recommend picking up some ibuprofen from the supermarket!

can anyone recommend any painkillers to take before the marathon? sadly I will be running/walking on a injured ankle I was going to take some ibuprofen at the start... but I read online about someone who died taking ibuprofen at a marathon because she had a sky high potasium level (due to gels, sports drinks, ect).

Sadly I have an inflamed ankle (maybe twisted too!)

Does anyone know if it is possible to complete this marathon in time if I walk most of it (with short random bursts of running)

Normally I would defer ... but already have flights and accomidation thus I dont want to let them go to waste

Im currently putting lots of ibuprofen gel on my ankle! :P

any advice is greatly appreciated

Anyone else got any more tips? im finding these very useful

Berlin will be my first marathon and sadly due to a recent injury my training will result in me only covering 14 miles (my longest run) ... my doctor has said that if I dont do any running until the marathon then I should have recovered to run it

I was thinking of running the first 4/5 miles (just so I don't annoy people at the crowded part by walking in front of them) ... and then run 4mins .. walk 1 min what's your opinion on this?
