Depends when they poured it - but it tends to be leaning towards flat

Oh, and you are not undertrained

PH,  stop panicking, you are doing enough over the next 4 weeks -

Minimum 20 mile LSR on Sunday, all offroad and hilly, hard on the legs;
Around 35 miles next weekend at Crawley; then
27 miles all offroad and hilly at 3 Forts; and finally
Bewl Water marathon, again offroad with a couple of nasty hills.

Almost the same run in as me, except I'm doing Halstead instead of Bewl, because by then I'll be tired and want an easier final LSR - and you are starting off faster than me as per Brighton . If you try and cram more in you will run the risk of injury, and it's certainly better to do Comrades undertrained than injured - I know that from experience.

Thanks PH, you almost gave me a heart attack . Had a nice day out in London and came in just over 4 hrs. Now to keep the distance up but slow the pace over the next month and I'll be ready .

So I will be off to London tomorrow, with just today as the only rest day since Brighton. Could be interesting ????

Great day for me yesterday at Brighton. After all my injuries over the last 2 years or so I'm over the moon with a sub 4, really didn't think I had it in me. That's by D seeding sorted.

Great to run a while with Possum to celebrate 50/50, and well done to SD on a great new PB - I see a Bill Rowan on the horizon. Next up, Crawley 6hr, unless I manage to magic up a London place.

Weds 14th May in Richmond sounds good to me.

Now just to get Brighton done and dusted, then I can relax .
