Barry: bad days happen, incredibly annoying when you have put in all the work, but you have to roll with the punches in this game

Free: you have got quick

Chick: as dedicated as ever.

2Old: also struggling with the whole Paris matter, its only going to get worse for now but you have to hope that eventually enough people will see sense.

Still struggling with injury, running but it hurts so no pace and not very far, swimming is improving though!

Free; good luck with the new job

2Old; patience, nice YKW

Chick : you really are consistent, wish I had your drive

Bro: daylight training is so much easier

have been running easy, cycling and back in the pool. Swam 2K today, first time for about 2 years! Groin was getting slightly better until i jumped into group 2 at the club last night, all was good for 8K but then it went again, I really should know better by now!

Boston Marathon 2016

I wouldnt say that Boston was hilly, i certainly regularly run worse in Dorset, great race, fantastic atmosphere beats NY, Chicago, Berlin and London in my book, enjoy

Running a marathon well is 50% a mental thing, you have done the training, you know you can hit the pace, its all about shutting up that guy on your shoulder when it starts to hurt at 20 miles or so.

Good to see so many posts on this thread, stick with it Ginger, your in good hands

Barry: nope, rode up the steep side of the escarpment and down the gentle way. You will be fine by Valencia, the old taper madness creeping in.

2Old: sounds painful, the joys of getting old, sucks doesn't it?

running back on the semi banned list, tuesday's club run hit painful by the end, todays run was ok up to 8K (well it was within my pain threshold) then groin really started to complain so walked home. Bike yesterday, maybe pool tomorrow?

Minni: top marathon, sounds like my last 3! I'm sure you can blast a spring marathon if you want or you may just decide that fun running is exactly that... Fun

Chick: free marathon has got to be good

Bro: running well

Barry; good luck at Valencia

2Old: sounds as if its back to the pool for you

Cycled 25 with 3500 feet of climbing yesterday, this took in the two climbs from hell near home both 25% plus, nearly broke me, running tonight .... Easy

Nell, We like PB's ! Nice.

2old: injured and running 7-40 miles, obviously not that badly injured.

i took it really easy this week, one 5k run which was awful, 2 x 30 min swims and 60 miles on the bike yesterday.  Today I tried a run, managed 8K at around 5-15 min/K but the good news was that while it didn't feel 100% it didn't hurt afterwards, will run alternate days this week.

AA: Take a break, you clearly need it

Barry: Glad I don't do masters swimming anymore, well remember those hanging on for dear life sessions. Well done for being brave enough to move up the lanes

2Old: Welcome to the injury bench

Chick: your a very consistent runner, wish I still had your drive

I see that Minni enjoyed her marathon and is now ishing she had done a double header with NYC being this Sunday.

I'm still bu,,,,red, tried a couple of runs last week, second one wasn't too painful, then rode my bike 70 miles on Saturday with the club, the last 30 of which turned into a solo time trial home as I dropped the group as I had promised to take DD1 out and needed to get a move on. Sunday leg was sore, Monday tried a 3 mile hobble! Was about to go out on my bike but the rain has arrived, now thinking of going to the pool.... which would be the first time in 18 months
