Boston and London

AA: I've done doubles a week apart and in my opinion its all about recovery and accepting that one of them is going to be better than the other, which is the good one is entirely your choice. Having run both, Boston is much more of a "runners" marathon, not a rhino in sight! Its also probably a quicker course than London provided you save something for heartbreak hill. Whilst the support at both is good the last 3 miles of Boston was just something else last year. You just need to decide which is the more important to you and do virtually nothing in between

2Old: nuts, 17 miles on a tready, enjoy the skiing.

O4S; well done on the 30.

Pink: your very busy!

Freemers: Nice intervals

Chick: building back up Nicely

19 miles in 2-50 so nicely sub 9's, was fine up to 16 then struggled home, boring on my own though! Somehow have run a 56 mile week (for strange historical reasons my week ends on a Monday!), almost feel fit

Evening

Ale: Park runs are so varied, some easy, some diabolical! The Griffin sounds good but have no idea where it is! I was in the Phoenix earlier

Stickless: No major projects on the boil, running for the sake of running since I moved back to the UK. Do have North Dorset Village Marathon in May though, well done for toughing it out today.

Gobi: You seem to have become a runner again

Joe: Busy weekend, good to see you back at it.

What: 6.5 mile bimble through the lanes

Why: knackered from last nights hill session

Last Hard: The hills

Last rest: Saturday ( I think)

AA: I didn't find the Boston hills much of a worry, but then I wasn't very fit and so was running well within myself. But certainly it was no worse than an average run around the North Dorset lanes.

2Old: I'm with Chick, do the reps again today! Not planning on resting anytime soon but as always work may throw a spanner in that idea.

Nell: Thats moving

Pink: I don't miss those 0600 swims, mind you they make you feel smug all day

Last nights tempo run was a bit pathetic, just wasn't up for it and struggled along in 2.5C, horizontal rain and a wind which could cut through steel, it felt a very long way from Dubai. Anyway struggled on and got it done if not as quick as usual.

Today for reasons which I have yet to fathom I decided to run on the trails up over the Salisbury plain to Alfreds Tower on Stourhead estate, so 11 miles of ankle sucking mud and torrential rain mixed with sleet later I staggered back through the door, man that was tough.... would like to say it was character building but the truth is that it was just a bloody stupid idea.
