Minni: yahoo, back running. In my experience it wont take long to get the miles back, as Freemers says pace is another matter

AA: fingers crossed for you

2Old: i once skied straight into a river in the dark whilst drunk at Soll.

O4S: just the 30 on Sunday then.

last night turned out to be 6 x mile repeats off 90 seconds, up and down various North Dorset hills, seem to have run them all at about 7-20 pace, Ok with that for now. Today is a trendy 5 if it ever warms up

AA: hope the recovery is going well

Carrot: nice PB, your ½ and marathon times are way better than mine yet your 10K time is almost identical to mine, one of us isn't converting their speed into endurance events and its not you!

Free: well done grinding it out in sleet, i would have gone home.

Nell: thats a pretty quick MP!

O4S; you probably do a years worth of exercise every week, i wont be at Bramley, life just got in the way.

2Old: Is the Kangaroo bar still in full swing?

Monday was a trendy 5, Tuesday club tempo 6.8 miles in 49-50 pretty quick for me these days, yesterday was a steady 10 and tonight is whatever monstrosity the club coach has come up with for speed work

Pink: the great thing about tri is that there are two sports left when injured, hope your knee is soon Ok but just swim for awhile

2Old: where in Austria? Nice 20 on your return

Barry: 21 after a kick swim session is always going to be tough

today was Blackmoor Vale 1/2M, met O4S and BA before the start, given that itwas 3C with a wind that could cut steel BA looked less than impressed with his B'day present. This was the first race i have ever started in tights, gloves and hat and no I didnt take them off all the way around. BVM ½ is not the easiest of races as it has some stonking hills in it, ran it in 1-45 last year when reasonably fit so was hoping for 1-50 ish this year off 5 weeks of training. Settled straight into 8 min/miles and watched everyone including O4S stream past me, held it steady and sure enough as we began to climb everyone came back towards me. Passed O4S on the long climb at 5 miles, too  hard a climb to speak. Crested the hill and knew I had 4 miles of gradual downhill before the climb back to the finish, held myself back to just under  8 min/miles and started to remember why i love racing, need to start doing more again and stop kidding myself  that im  happy running for fun. The last mile back to the finish is seriously uphill but held together to finish in 1-45-01 by my garmin. Quite suprised by that as over weight and dont consider myself any where near fit. O4S finished a few minutes behind me but no sign of BA before I departed, hope his present wasn't too bad! Beat all the club mates i felt i had to beat, almost caught one I hoped to beat, no one passed after 5 miles so must have got the pace right. Better start training seriously then.

Free: you have a plan, looks like your going well

Carrot: your brave to even try XC and then 20 and hills just for fun, the benefits of youth

Chick; keep going girl it will come back

last nights club run wasin my mind meant to be easy and was for the first 3 miles but then got sucked up by the middle group and the red mist descended, blasted off the front and ran asif chased by the devil, never saw them again but did catch the quick group, today was a very slow trendy 5.

lyrics: maybe

Boston and London

AA: I've done doubles a week apart and in my opinion its all about recovery and accepting that one of them is going to be better than the other, which is the good one is entirely your choice. Having run both, Boston is much more of a "runners" marathon, not a rhino in sight! Its also probably a quicker course than London provided you save something for heartbreak hill. Whilst the support at both is good the last 3 miles of Boston was just something else last year. You just need to decide which is the more important to you and do virtually nothing in between

2Old: nuts, 17 miles on a tready, enjoy the skiing.

O4S; well done on the 30.

Pink: your very busy!

Freemers: Nice intervals

Chick: building back up Nicely

19 miles in 2-50 so nicely sub 9's, was fine up to 16 then struggled home, boring on my own though! Somehow have run a 56 mile week (for strange historical reasons my week ends on a Monday!), almost feel fit
