SB - PB is 3:31:30. I'll be happy with 3:29:59 but should be clearing 3:20 really. But it's certainly an unpredictable thing going from my experience!

Sat - 17 miles Long

Today - 5.8m inc 8 x strides

SB - some good bits of advice of dealing with complicated running issues, so to speak! Good work wagon-ing too.

Target wise... Hmmm.. I haven't picked up as much pace as I'd like (lost a fair amount around the arrival of Arthur) and I'm far from confident at the distance. I'm gonna set off at 7:30 m/m and try and hold on for around 3:17. It's a small field though and I'm not looking forward to the 15-23 bit if I end up on my own! We'll see!

9 miles this morning. Last long run tomorrow morning pre-race. Woop woop!

Streak Master Swittle - SB and Nessie have summed it perfectly. Well done. Nice to see you chuck in a cheeky long run for the 1st of a new era too!

Nessie - great book, that. You'll be back at it before you know it.

Sun - 20.5 miles long run making 68 for the week

Mon - 5 miles recovery

Tues - 7 miles GA with 8 x 100m stides.

I'm enjoying the later starts in the first week of taper!

JT did a funny!

SB - training has been tough from a time perspective. The miles have been okay when I've hit them (5 weeks over the 65 mark) it's more travel/work/child etc sometimes has made it hard to get out 6 times a week. I've hit the plan 6 weeks, missed 1 run 6 weeks and missed 2 runs in 3 weeks (I think that makes sense!). I imagine I'll be on plan for all the taper   If I do it again I'll aim to have a month or so running 6 times a week, as that seemed more of an adjustment to me over the miles.

This morning - 8 miles with 8 x 100m strides.

Simon - well done on the PB. If you're at the bank end of mara training your half PB will come down more with a taper from your next half!

SB - I hate interval training around anyone either cycling or running somewhere between my effort and recovery pace. They look at you like you're mad!

7.6 miles this morning. Lovely mist over the boating lake with swans and cygnets gliding through, looking a bit haunting...

Keep that cold at bay swits!

Good sesh JT. That bunny image is more comical than it really looked I guess!

Yesterday - 17 miles.

This morning - 7.25 miles recovery

Nothing of interest to report. Back in the office today. Pah!
