Nessie - Happy Birthday lass! More wine this evening I hope. Glad your hols were good.

7.9 miles recovery this morning. Kept forgetting where I was running and ended up zig-zagging the return leg. Went through some roads in Cheltenham I've never seen before. They look the same as the others...

Cracking weekend running all.

6 yesterday with 3 at HM (= Her Majesty, JT) pace.

18 this morning. An out of action level crossing sent me around the houses. And by houses I mean fields.

Was that an event Dank? Good work either way!

SB - Will do mate, not sure when I'll have to train that client again but will probably be up that way at some point!

Me - 7.8 miles recovery this morning. Got wet. Got back to find Arthur wide awake playing with a muslin rather than going crazy waking his mum for some food. Starting to think about getting a running buggy as the wife is thinking about getting back out there!

SB - Nah - she was younger. And very quick. Like good club quick.

All I talk about at home is milky nipples and now I get it here too

Yup - Jo Pavey is pretty inspirational. I've got 4 years to work up to gold!

14 miles Medium Long run this morning. Pretty dark now at 5am. Boo. Chucked a few race pace miles. They felt a bit quick, so may race pace may infact, not be my race pace! We'll see...

Hola,

4.5 miles recovery run through a locked up Heaton Park.
A special thank you to SB for the recommendation and too the gorgeous Mel Sykes lookalike who showed me where I could sneak in! My only regret is not being as quick as her so I couldn't enjoy the view for long!

Cheers SB. No time for golf - not that I can play anyway. 9am training session to deliver then hitting the road back down south. Not even visiting anywhere good for dinner! Looking forward to a nights sleep without Arthur though (guilty parent).

The park looks good. I'll weave my way around it before breakie. Cheers chap!

Carter - that sounds tough! Well done chap.

Swittle - Stop lobbing in long runs close to Streak record!

Me - 9 miles this morning with 6 x 600m @ 5k pace in the middle. Tough but felt good to do a bit of speed work.

Off to Manchester for a whistle-stop tour. Will have to try and squeeze a run in somewhere - staying at Heaton Park. Any advice Northern running chums? My main requirements are just getting 5-7 miles in and not getting mugged!

Also. Most miles for a week for me. Just shy of 71.

JT - were you wearing that vest? Good running mate.

22 miles this morning. Was gonna do 23 but miscalculated route. Felt much stronger than other long runs. Much cooler so that may have helped. It rained a bit. And by bit I mean a lot. Still wet now I reckon!

Now I want coffee Birky!

12.5 miles this morning with 7 at LT pace. Thighs feeling it a bit.

Rest day tomorrow then longest pre-race run Sunday. I'll be glad to get it out the way!
