Any old shoe will do

Question for Disgruntled Employee.

A bloke comes into your shop wearing Nike Pegasus. He runs 50 miles a week with no problems and he overpronates a lot.

What do you do?

Any old shoe will do

In my experience of fitting people with running shoes, some people can run in anything and never get injured, some people get injured and put them in in the right shoe type (as according to running shop gait analysis) and the problem disappears and some people who are put into the supposedly correct shoes then get injured.

Which pretty much lines up with the 12000 army recruits study.

Forerunner 305 - still worth getting

The Garmin 305 has loads of features on it, a lot of which will probably never get used so I wouldn't describe it as entry level. That model has been out about 8 years now. A couple of things to look out for are a big reduction in battery length and the warning beeps becoming very quiet.

I've always prefered Garmin over any other brand, but there again I've used them a lot more than any other brand.

Have a look on www.dcrainmaker.com . He's got more GPS devices than the parson preached about!!!

If they are brand new (not reconditioned) and a decent price then yes.

Great bit of kit, if a little bulky.

I used to work for Sweatshop but I don't anymore and this was before the SD takeover!! Read into that what you will

SD had a 25% stake at the time, but had very little input into the way stores were run.

I'm pretty sure I served Lawrence on more than one occasion

The bargain thread

Not sure Gideon, I really doubt it'll be waterproof. But as jackets go, I'd say it's a bargain for that price.

Word is that Sweatshop staff get a £3 bonus for every pair of Karrimor shoes they sell. I wonder how that will affect the statement:-

"What may surprise you is the length we go to, to help you find your perfect pair of running shoes."

Suprise? Yes, very.
