Just a Little Bit Further - 2014

HI Guys

Sound like everyone has been training well with lots of  long mileage being recorded. Well done everyone.

Nandy pleased the knee is better. Must be such a relief for you.

Chilli I echo MC thoughts. Please take it easy and don't push yourself to quickly.

My Trail race went well.It was knee deep in mud at parts and the weather was extremely horrible..horizontal rain and very windy.Very challenging conditions indeed.Ha ha. I also slipped so was covered in mud down my left hand side...hehee. Amazed I only slipped the once. One poor guy fell face forward into the loch...he was charging by fast and slipped going part one of the single track bits and kinda just fell right in.....oops he was alright and just got back up and carried on as you

The only downside of the race was that the distance was wrong..We only ran 13k instead of 15k due to a missing sign at one part of the course...The organizers think this had been removed by someone who has a grievance with the club..shocking really and we all felt a bit cheated at not having run the full 15k. My time for the race was 1.15.53 so not too bad and if I had done the 15k would probably had made it under the 1.30hrs.

Next race for me Sunday 10 mile road wont be any mud at that...ha ha

Hello everyone.

Nice to hear from you Nandy but hope your knee problem gets sorted out.

Mathschick  Wow you have been a busy bee with all your exersize. Well done on your 13 miles.

AF Well done on your run the other day. You are probably out running today again.

Jude Well done to your kids on their music results.

This weeks training has only consisted of  30 mins intervals on Tuesday. A quickish 5 miler yesterday and weights today. Just not enough time to fit everything in. I have a 15k trail race on Sunday Morning and weather looks horrendous for it...I am hoping the forecast is wrong.

I AM FED UP OF THIS RAINY/SNOWY and WINDY weather  Was going to go out for a little run but not motivated by the weather. Will be a quick doggy walk too.

Hope everyone is well.

AF...well done on your 10+ miles.and MC well done on your 6 miler yesterday..sounds like you are getting back into the swing of things with this running malarkey.

Was talking to one of the dog owners in the park the other day. she has just started running and I have to say I was kinda envious of just go out and run for the fun of pressure and to just run...I know we all say sometimes oh I am just going out for a run for the fun of it but it never works out that way...well for me I always end up putting pressure on myself in some way.....

Anyhow on that note have a good day folks

Hello Foks

Sorry not been around lately but that bug took it out of me. Work Party went well but would have enjoyed it better if I'd been feeling better. At least I got to go

AF Sorry to hear your London trip was cut short. Hope Mrs AF is feeling better now.

Lainey Golly you were out early doing interval training. Thought I was the only maddy on here. Ha Ha...well done.

I have been for a 9 mile run in the hills with Chico today....still very muddy up there coz of all the rain but its getting less so....I think.......We were actually a quicker average pace than last time and we went further although it didn't feel like that when we were out.Chico now sleeping on a cushion on the settee and I am having a hot chocolate with cream on top....yummy

Jude well done for your son and must be so proud of your sporty children and well done on your running.

MC Hope your shoulder gets better soon.

Jo Hope that calf muscle sorts itself out soon. Have you been to see about it or get a massage ?

Have a good evening everyone

Not had a chance to really catch up on everything but did notice Chilli that your OP is in 2 weeks. Please take care and look after yourself.

Sluggish...You too take the time you need to get over your takes it out of you.

I to have not been well...had a tummy bug that just sprung itself on me during Tuesday night and woke up yesterday feeling sick, being sick and the rest...hubby got the same thing at the same time. Must be a bug going round as our lad had it last week. I am feeling bit better today but hubby still not right.

I have a works party tonight at posh hotel in town. It's a party for the business's 18th year and its a ceildh and burns supper. Not sure I will be up to eating much but will see. Will be all poshed up with long dress

MC well done on your 4 miles this morning.
