Just a Little Bit Further - 2014

Posted: 14/01/2014 at 14:58

MC I hope you enjoyed your turbo session this morning and get to run club tonight.

Chili Well done on your rainy run.

Sluggish Wonder Well done on your 3.5 miles with crazy dog What are their names and what kind are they?

AF We will make it the Tuesday then. If Mrs AF wants to come she could go for a walk with my hubby and Chico around the hills whilst we run em. Don't know if that's her kind of thing or not but its just a suggestion.

I went to gym this morning and also did 30 mins interval training. Hoping to go lonish tomorrow maybe 11/12 miles.

Nandy Well done on your 10k. Am sure you would have been faster if it had been a race as competiveness would come into it. I would use The HM as your long run for this weeks training and do a couple of short runs to keep the legs ticking over. What should your schedule be this week ?

Chili Happy 4rth running birthday. Gosh your parkrun is growing fast. Well done

Jude Well doen on your run with the fast bits.

AF Wow an ultra the day before you come to Edinburgh. I thought we were running on the 27th???? I have taken time off the Monday and Tuesday that week Will need to work Wednesday but then off Thursday Friday.

Loula I like em pics  very tasty Hope your feeling better and more energized.

Chris That is great mileage and well done

MC Well done on the TM mile. What are the gerbils called and will he be responsible for the cleaning etc???

No running from me the last 2 days but hope to get out tomorrow for some intervals and to the gym for weights etc.

Have a good evening friends and happy running.

Yes Sluggish wonder Chico is my wee Jack Russell He is only 15months so has only been on a few runs. I usually take him when I go up into the hills or when its a social run with my running group. He likes those ones  Good luck with your 4 miler.

Yeah MC Go for your treadmill mile.

AF Moi little moi naughty  I don't think so  I am but an angel  Well done on your club run and hope weather stays fair for your run on Sunday.

Nandy Well done on your 5 miles and Good luck for you fast 10k Sunday. Is it a race or is that you have to do it. I find I never run as fast in training than in a race even if I kid myself that it is. That's why I like to go to parkrun even though its just 5k it means I am actually pushing myself to my limits.

I went out and did  10.25 miles this morning so that's my LSR,s started properly now. I left Chico at home cos it was raod/street running then onto canal and a bit of trail and I thought there would be too many distractions for him.

Glad I went out then cos its chucking it down now.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Me I am working early Sat and Sunday

Where is everyone ?

Good coastal run AF.

Well done on your 4  miler and gym MC yesterday.

Deejay Hope your injury continues to improve and that you get out for a short wee run next week. Shame about Brighton but you  be more than ready for it in 2015. I am taking a break from marathon training this year but will be doing one in 2015 as I will be 50 then too Eeeeeeeeeek. Regards to Mrs DJ and pleased she is stable at the moment and good luck getting the benefits Its ridiculous that people who genuinely need these have such a fight on their hands whilst others out there just get it no problem.

Nandy Rowing machine sounds fun Wow a 10 k in 40 mins In my sweet wildest ever dreams ha ha

Chili well done on your mile challenge and there is nout wrong with that m'lady.

Morning guys and dolls

DJ Nice to hear from you but so sorry to hear of your sad loss. I too hope 2014 is a better year for you. How is your wife keeping at the moment.

Terpsikhore welcome to our friendly thread at CRAC towers and we will certainly prod you with a stick if your posting about 3 miles runs Ha ha Build up gradually though. Best way is maybe to add another 5 or 10 mins on to your runs rather than distance.

Wow Nandy that certainly was an adventure you had.

Jude Amazing stuff from your daughter. you and she must be chuffed.

chilli Good luck with the 1 mile TT

Well done Chris on the 11k Great stuff.

MC Hope your snuffles haven't come to anything bad.

Went to gym this morning for weights and core stuff. haven't been for 2 weeks so will likely be a tad sore tomorrow. Got work at 2pm

Have a good day everyone and stay safe in the weather.

Back from our 6 mile VERY MUDDY run in the Pentlands where we were almost chased by some cattle......eek........they had there eye on Chico so decided to just walk at that't fancy getting chased by them.Mind you it might have been a quick mile for the TT...ha ha.Now sitting down with a cup of hot choccy and some maltesers.

Mathschick The Edinburgh Rock and Roll is on Sunday 29th June. Already entered it. They have changed the finish this year to end in the Meadowbank Stadium on the track.
