Looks like a pretty pain free course runlozrun!  Might be a good idea.

Possum Hopper, without people like you events like this couldn't happen.  All of you on the day did an amazing job considering the weather... I think when we all signed up, you included probably, we though we'd need sun block not arm bands!  Thanks again

Thanks for the profile... looks flat-ish.  Just ran the Thames Meander Marathon on the weekend which was a hellishly wet trail run.  Was my first marathon and learned a lot of what to do and what not to do!  Good news? It's not put me off this one

will be after a 3:45 on the day if all goes to plan - snuck in with a 3:57 but that was with a horrible last 5 miles or so.  Need to get my hydration and nutrition sorted... I though I had, but...... Learning curve!

Yeah, don't worry James - all info can be found in the Q&A and overview part of the race website.

Not had an email either - not expecting one as we got the 'final' one sent out on the 5th.

Richard Hill - feel the same.  Sluggish as hell but feel wired at the same time.  Carb loading does strange things for sure!

Emmy, you can have my spag - I'll just munch the bol!  Not allowed to eat wheat.  Ho hum!

Good luck all, don't forget a bin bag for the start line, gonna be WET!

Thanks Emmy!  Unknown territory for me - lots of half marathons but never the full distance.  Hope you've got something left in the tank for this weekend!

Close to the big day now - taper is going OK, hope that's the same for everyone else!

Bit strange, now that I've cut back, starting to feel niggles, aches and pains!  How's that work?  Maybe it's just in my head.  Just want to start the run now - although looking forward to a few days of carb loading first

See you all at the start line!

Did 10 miles today at marathon pace then another 2 at 5km pace just give myself a boost!  Taper time so 3-4 runs this week with a 1 hour run next weekend at marathon pace again.

No mile markers I see now?  Hummm.  Might run with my Iphone without earphones to shout split times at me - or is that banned too?

Well done Redheadedraver - I had less success on my run today, did the middle part too quick and ran out of juice at about 17 miles again - shame the car was at 23 miles so had to jog / walk the rest.  I need to think about eating on the run I think, gels aren't cutting it

Redheadedraver - if you were the one doing some yoga moves before the start then I saw you  Not too many red heads at the start (although a few pink heads at the finish!)

What is the best cross training for a marathon?

Cross training options, which are the best?
